Yes, he acted classless last night. Is that any reason to bring up decade old personal problems that he admirably has been able to get past? As mentioned in another thread, Rick Leach had a drug problem during his baseball career... if someone tried to use that to discredit him, wouldn't we rightfully think they were being an idiot?

On a related note, "Boomer Sooner" is THE standard-bearer when it comes to incredibly obnoxious, repetitive fight songs that are massively overused by the marching band. USC's and OSU's are not even in the same ballpark.

That was ridiculous. What an embarrasment for Sam and Billy. Sam was walking up there, humble and all while some guy was just shouting at him (I was like "shut up!!!!"). Billy was embarrased because Sam wouldn't yell Sooner until the very last second, just to get him to shut up. This analysis was brought to you by Umfan.

Yeah Sims did that a few years ago as well when Jason White won. Oklahoma then preceded to lose the MNC game by about 200 points. And Ashlee Simpson got booed off the stage at halftime by grouchy Sooner fans. Will we get a repeat this year?

no, this is far worse. Here's the write-up and lyrics from the Oklahoma website. Pretty "inventive" stuff: In 1905, Arthur M. Alden, a student in history and physiology whose father was a Norman jeweler, wrote the lyrics to the fight song, borrowing the tune from Yale University's 'Boola Boola' but improvising the words. A year later, an addition was made to it from North Carolina's 'I'm a Tarheel Born' and the two combined to form the university's fight song today. One of the most recognizable college fight songs in the country, 'Boomer Sooner' immediately evokes enthusiasm from OU fans and sends chills down the spines of those who dare to oppose them. Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner Boomer Sooner, OK U! Oklahoma, Oklahoma Oklahoma, Oklahoma Oklahoma, Oklahoma Oklahoma, OK U! I'm a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die, I'll be Sooner dead Rah Oklahoma, Rah Oklahoma Rah Oklahoma, OK U!

That was the best part of the whole thing! I loved that he did it that many times, I thought it was some dumb fan that got in, but it made it awesome that it was from on stage. I was laughing my ass off. And what was with the intros? All of the older guys from like the 70s had like hand guestures
