The Bold Prediction Thread
Users of MGOBLOG, the title is self explanatory. I want to hear some bold predicitons for this upcoming season. Here are a few of mine:
Jake Butt matches the produciton we expected from Funchess last year: 900 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns. He then ears a 2nd-3rd round draft grade, only to return for his senior year as the best receiving TE in the country.
James Ross: Becomes a TFL machine; a DeAndre Levy-esque playmaker. Gets first team All-Big Ten, and a 3rd round draft choice of the Baltimore Ravens.
Kyle Kalis. Lives up to the recruiting profile. Becomes an absolute road grader. Although he'll never be as impressive, people start to make Steve Hutchinson comparisons.
Jabrill Peppers: National pundits will make the Tyrann Mathieu comparisons all season long. This one isn't all that bold.
We beat Michigan State. However we lose to Ohio State on the final drive.

Bold prediction to play off that...
BIll Cubit gets promoted and ends up being the better hire of the two to the surprise of very few people. Call me crazy, but that's what I would do if I am Illinois right now.

- Michigan has a positive turnover margin for the first time in eons
- Michigan defeats Utah by ten points, but loses to BYU by 7 points.
- We destroy Maryland on the road.
- Our defense is once again in the top 10 total D stats, but this time it feels more substantial.
- November 21st is a great day for the Big Ten in the national spotlight. Michigan (9-1) vs. Penn State (9-1), and MSU (9-1) vs. OSU(10-0).
