OSU loses by 20+, Day realizes how hard its gonna be to win one, goes to the NFL, and we get to play Luke Fickell, the one OSU coach we've beaten this millennium

It’s like when your grandmother sees something you kinda sorta thought was interesting and buys it for you, and then goes on to buy you similar items for the rest of time. That one small moment defines you in their eyes

Michigan fans are elderly grandmas when it comes to their memory of Luke Fickell

Did Ryan Day scare you? That guy had 4 games as a head coach in his entire career before taking over at osu. What's more amazing is that he had only worked with urbs for 1 season...way back as a grad assistant at Florida, before coming to osu. There's a reason why urbs kept fickell on his staff when he got to osu, because he knows he can coach. Add to that, Cincy is the hotbed for football in Ohio. Fickell was only gone for a year when urbs left osu. He wasn't a viable candidate at that point. Whether or not it would amount to anything, it's fair to say, osu fandom would view fickell coming back to osu much more favorably than UM fans welcomed Harbaugh back  6 years ago.

Not only that, but that 2011 OSU team was a mess. Several players included Terrell Pryor opted out of the season like 2 months before the season started and they ended up starting a true freshman Braxton Miller in an antiquated offensive system that did not fit Miller's skills at all. They still somehow upset Wisconsin and almost beat Michigan on an overthrown, wide open pass for a TD on the last drive of the game.

The best case scenario would have been neither of these teams participating in this game. We could stand to pay less attention.

Didn't watch. Hurts that this is what it has come to, but it has. This season couldn't end soon enough.

But we've got basketball tomorrow, and King of the Hammers is a go for a couple weeks from now. So there are things to follow.

I think the constant pressure had a lot to do with the poor throws.  Christian Barmore was a beast that would have me twitching a little if I was Fields.

Although great offenses win championships these days, Alabama's ability to apply pressure both at the QB and on the receivers was a big part of the beat down, too.

I’ve watched an awful lot of football in my life. More than any one person needs to see, really. I’ve travelled thousands of miles to watch games between teams that had nothing to do with Michigan. I watch random games on tv and hit rewind on the dvr to look at blocking schemes or blitz packages. I’ve seen my share.

Frankly, the only team I want to win the title less than Bama is OSU. The playoff just isn’t easy to watch. Because I’m a Michigan fan, I care, and I’m tired as a fan.

This is the end of OSU’s dominance.  The reason OSU has been so successful is because UM has not.  It’s going to be a kick to the nuts when Ewers commits back to UT.

Nothing about Day should scare people. He hasn't proven anything yet. Let's see how he fares next year when his recruits actually have to see the field.

I mean, I get that he hasn’t won the big one, but what does “haven’t proven anything yet” mean to you?  He’s been to two straight CFPs, 1 championship game, has two big ten championships, and the top recruiting classes in the country.  Hes done more in two years than pretty much everyone except Dabo and Saban.  Not to mention more than Harbaugh has even sniffed in 6 years.
