Per Baumgardner: Runyan good to go; OL is healthy

Submitted by The Baughz on September 18th, 2019 at 12:13 PM

Looks like Ed Warinner, per Baumgardner on Twitter, stated that Runyan is good to go for Saturday and that they will be at full strength. Hayes and Mayfield included.

No word on DPJ yet, but at least we know the OL will be at full strength.

Ya know, I did get tired of the "Oakland still in play" and the "jerseys selling in Ohio like hotcakes" and the "going to Bolivia" memes. I get tired about users caring about mgoblog points. But BPONE is different. The thing with BPONE is that it will be harder to get beyond it and drop it until Michigan actually beats OSU and wins the Big 10. And more than once. I mean, we can forbid the use of the word "BPONE." You can banish it and negbomb those who use it. But it will lurk in the subconscious of the observant Michigan fan. Last year was what seared BPONE into my brain. I completely bought in to Michigan beating OSU. Had a friendly wager with a brother-in-law in South Euclid. And then we got shellacked. Had to suffer the indignity and humiliation of watching the game in a room of OSU fans. Never again will I wager. Never again will I predict victory. More than that, never again will I expect victory, until I see it happen. That is the reality of BPONE for me. I will root for Michigan, watch them, support them, support Harbaugh and the team, but it will take a couple or three years of solid success against OSU before BPONE starts to recede from my frontal lobes.

Can you explain what you are afraid of?   So your going to embrace living in a negative,  depressed state for possibly years on end?  That state  will sap the joy out of every success the team has other than OSU because your afraid to take shit from some friends and family?

I take the Michigan defeats hard, but after a few days you have to reboot or following this team and college football is not for you.

I will never understand not being ready to pay when you check out at a store and I will never understand fans being constantly negative of the team they follow.

My State friends before the last couple of years really grinded me a lot in recent memory...especially after losses.

I learned to wake up the next day and realize my life was the same even with a loss, those guys however had to live their pityful lives even with a win realizing they would never match up with M at any level.

Don’t ever let BPONE survive the last whistle of the game.

I generally agree.  For me it was the combination of the OSU shellacking and horrible, apathetic looking bowl game fiasco that followed it, that put me in this hold-pattern of getting enthusiastic about the football team.  Until I see them starting to win more of these tough road games, beat OSU, and look like they have a pulse in the bowl game, I'm just going to keep my expectations very modest.  I'll go to the games and cheer the team like always.  But I'm done with the Kool Aid for now.

These are my feelings as well. I love Michigan football, but after last year I in no way expect them to win. I'll be happy when they do, but I'll be damned if I'll bet on it. I used to expect us to just not cover the spread against any opponent, and think games like MSU at home, Iowa on the road, PSU on the road, and our bowl games were exceptions to the rule. After last year I have no expectations, I'll need to see it to believe it. My buckeye coworkers don't even trash talk anymore. They say they're going to beat us this year, and I say yeah you probably will.

And yet what is so comically tragic about the use of BPONE is that once you introduce the term into the lexicon, it's very hard to get rid of it. The feeling is named, and so when one feels that particular way, divorcing the name from it is almost impossible.

Once you know saying Candyman into the mirror will get you killed, how do you actively go about not saying Candyman?

BPONE the name, not the emotion it represents, will undoubtedly be the existential crisis of our collective MgoLives.

Basically, we're fucked.

If you want back in BPONE, read this. OSU Rivals staff member reporting that Zach Charbonnet is out after required another knee surgery. I don't know how an OSU guy would have this first, and that is why I held off from creating a new thread, but the specificity of the tweet is troubling.

What I've heard is Zach Charbonnet is being scoped a second time to correct unfinished work from his spring procedure. Would likely miss a few weeks. This is not an attempt to troll. That kind of thing is not my cup of tea. Especially not reporting things such as injuries.

In the interview with Shea, when they asked him about DPJ, he looked like he was gonna burst, so I have a feeling DPJ will play (Is DPJ practicing? Yeah as far as I know)

Edit: I honestly don't know what happened there. Brain fart, with diarrhea. My apologies.
