Although he was a highly rated recruit, he is still pretty far down on the depth chart, competing with Norwood and Cooper for the number 5 or 6 slot behind Bell, White, Jones, and Shinn. Bell, Shinn, and Norwood are taller receivers, probably playing the flanks, while the others are slot-type receivers. He was expected to be in the mix for some playing time but they shouldn't be a bad unit without him, especially early on as he gets acclimated to college football (he is a true freshman).
