Does Illinois really think Michigan would lose to PSU, NW and IU if those games were actually played?

Regardless, would love to see a rematch w Illinois in the BIG Tourney

All the of them beat Minnesota.  It is highly unlikely that Michigan would lose two of the three but one loss is not out of the realm of realistic scenarios.  Whether or not your maize and blue goggles can see it, a loss today would stamp a large asterisk over the championship.  If the table were flipped there is no doubt in my mind that a good portion of board members would be losing their shit and the majority would be upset.  Win today and most of the noise goes away.  Neg away lemmings.

The transitive property does not determine the likelihood of a team to beat another. Minnesota also beat Michigan, does that mean we would expect Minnesota to beat Iowa or Ohio State if they played today? The fact is that Minnesota has gotten worse as this season has progressed.
The realistic expectation for the results of Michigan’s three missed games are they would go 3-0 or 2-1. Any other outcome is wildly unlikely. So, if Michigan did get to make up those games, they would clinch the B1G regular season champions title anyways. Even at 2-1, which would leave them with an overall conference record of 16-3 heading into this Sunday. To calm down all the whining Illini fans, I wish the B1G had cancelled the conference tourney and allowed teams to make up any cancelled games to have all teams on the 20 game schedule.

The point wasn't that the transitive property applied.  The point was that anything can happen on any given day in this conference and dismissing those three teams as non-threats is blindly fanatical.  I agree that 2-1 is the likely worst case record were those to be played.   I would think the rest of the conference including Illinois would also concede to that.   Win today and the co-champ chatter diminishes greatly.

Yes, anything can happen on any given day. However, being realistic and acknowledging the most likely outcome is not "blind fanaticism". I don't think that assuming the result of games against pretty poor teams is dismissing them, again it is acknowledging that they would not have much of a chance of winning the game(s). I'm glad we can agree on the likely worst case outcome had the games been made up.

There should be no co-champ chatter regardless. Michigan is the outright B1G regular season champions. The league decided, and all the teams agreed, that the methodology for determining the conference champion this year would be highest winning percentage. Michigan has mathematically secured the highest winning percentage; they are sole champions.

That's sweet.  I'm sure he can find some Q followers to support this.  Just hope there's no Stop The Steal rally and a storming of the stadium during the B1G tournament.

How about a deal?  We get to play those three cancelled games (PSU, NW, IU) and then the team with the most wins is the champ?

They take on the demeanor of their coach, exactly why I cannot stand them. This is exactly what I expected after that game we played. I want to beat their asses in the bigten tournament and hang another banner so he can’t claim shit.
