I'm deflated
I don’t think it works that way.......but I will give him an E for effort.
Ladies and gentlemen, your 2021 Super Bowl Co-Champions! The Saints, the Bears, the Chiefs, the Rams.
(All the teams that beat the Bucs during the 2020 season.)
i would have no problem with that. the banner will say B1G Champions 2021 whether it's shared or not.
Considering Underwood’s history, Illinois will probably have to vacate this season anyway.
I’d love to see Michigan beat Illinois in the BTT championship game where Ayo actually plays.
What would this s board would be saying if another team played 3 fewer games.
Same issue as the complaining about OSU's crown, board was telling us Indiana got jobbed.
I don't recall the Big Ten ever saying that it was necessary to play 20 conference games in basketball this year.
Besides, are you saying that Michigan caught a break by not playing Northwestern, PSU and Indiana?
Anyone who was seriously claiming that OSU did not deserve the B1G East Division trophy last season is not someone who should be listened to. However, the B1G did change the rules, mid-season, to allow for OSU to win the East Division and play in the B1G championship game. No rules have been altered to allow Michigan to win the conference outright. The methodology for determining the conference champion was set to be the team with highest winning percentage. All the teams agreed to play with that standard. Michigan has mathematically clinched sole possession of the number one spot. Winning percentage is the logical way of determining who the champion is for a season that was bound to have uneven numbers of games played. Anyone who would have had a problem with that if roles were reversed is again, not someone who should be listened to.
The issue is that the Big Ten settled on the rules for football before the season started and then literally changed them mid-season to ensure OSU would be accommodated to get into the CFP. No such accommodation was made for Michigan during the basketball season. Not saying there should’ve been, but that’s just stating facts.
I get the reasons why. A crap ton of money was on the line, and every school in the conference was strapped for cash. OSU getting into the CFP benefitted everyone in the conference financially. In a year where everyone needed every dollar they could get. But that’s why people were upset.
What an idiot. And Underwood is worse. Nothing would please me more than to see Illinois have a couple of those fluke first round loses in both the Big and NCAA tournaments so Underwood would finally have shut his whiney pie hole.
