interesting.
happened like most of my cases back in my old life. a bizarre world to normal people, but gang shootings like that are basically like hunting parties or deer camp. all the premeditation and deliberation needed to commit a first degree 'murder' has long been done. weapons are at hand and loaded. only thing missing is a 'deer'. see one and bingo.

Totally serious. Basically, the city of LA stood to lose a lawsuit to Biggie's estate that potentially could bankrupt the entire city IF it could be proven that the LAPD had off-duty officers embedded within Death Row + engaging in criminal activity.
Det. Russell Poole was nearing possession of said proof and the city gaslit and disgraced him. Of course, they handed him an apology and a medal long after he died and hope of the case being solved was in rearview.
