Was any of that Shawn Crable's fault?
August 18th, 2020 at 10:07 PM ^
Too soon
August 18th, 2020 at 10:08 PM ^
Did he do something particularly egregious that game? I honestly don’t remember.
August 18th, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
What game? Can't remember something that never happened.
August 18th, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
I wish I could tell you I didn't remember. I wish I could tell you that. But historic upsets are no fairy tale world.
On the blocked FG, he ole'd the guy who blocked it and didn't even pick up the outside guy. He just froze.
August 18th, 2020 at 10:17 PM ^
I was there in person and have avoided anything to do with it since. Never rewatched it and changed the channel every time it was ever mentioned on TV. Thanks.
August 18th, 2020 at 10:32 PM ^
I was there too and haven't re-watched it except for that FG attempt on YouTube. I will remember the stunned silence as that guy ran back that blocked kick, except for the tiniest band of App State fans essentially sitting on top of the stadium, they were so far up there. I could hear them from across the field.

I remember him more for the late hit in the 4th Q of The Game. Still not over it. Why do you make me remember this stuff?
August 19th, 2020 at 12:05 AM ^
it wasn't late. it was a high hit on a short QB. i still don't think it was a penalty. imo, the QB is RB at that point, especially with all the rushing yards he gets.
August 19th, 2020 at 7:52 AM ^
The thing that always gets me, is that 1 week later, this hit in the USC/UCLA game was celebrated everywhere as the "Hit of the Year"...
August 18th, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
Horrible
August 18th, 2020 at 10:18 PM ^
Yep, no one could have ever seen this coming...
August 18th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
Please OT this. They have nothing to do with Michigan
August 18th, 2020 at 10:31 PM ^
Please read the rules if you’re going to post about them.
August 18th, 2020 at 10:53 PM ^
Reading is for suckers
Direct me towards a YouTube video with the real rules please
August 18th, 2020 at 11:35 PM ^
@bluewings
Ask yourself this: "does it really bother me that there is no 'OT' in the thread title?"
You're a big boy. You can make the determination that the subject is off topic. You don't need "OT" in the thread title.
August 19th, 2020 at 12:32 AM ^
I'm quite sure he only said that because of the particular school involved. Strange that it's going over some heads.

The USA stops Covid 19 about as well as Lloyd Carrs defenses stopped mobile quarterbacks
August 18th, 2020 at 11:08 PM ^
Ugh! Why are you running! Step back and wait for us to tackle you like a real quarterback you communist.
August 18th, 2020 at 11:09 PM ^
Where have you gone, Donovan McNabb?
August 19th, 2020 at 12:07 AM ^
or that hall of famer johnnie johnson for illinois.
August 19th, 2020 at 12:22 AM ^
Have faith. In the end Carr stopped Tim Tebow! ‘Murica!
August 19th, 2020 at 2:44 AM ^
Penicillin defenses. Matter of fact, Michigan flourished in the Penicillin Age. Science was tight! Once antibiotics started to fail it was clear Michigan, and this country, were headed in another direction.
August 18th, 2020 at 11:10 PM ^
I will always remember exactly where I was when this game happened. Speak of this game no more!
August 18th, 2020 at 11:34 PM ^
Who could have seen this happening?
August 18th, 2020 at 11:43 PM ^
Beyond the obvious health issues, we're also getting to the point where these athletes aren't getting a ton of practice time to, you know, get ready to play this football season they are so intent on pushing across the starting line. They're supposed to play their first game in less than a month and assuming they quarantine for at least 7-10 days were getting real close to early September before they can get back on the field and in the weight room. Yeah they can do a lot of stuff virtually but we're going to keep seeing these outbreaks and the schedules are just getting more compressed.

Meanwhile, down in the SEC, schools are starting to announce capacity restraints for having fans ATTEND games.
Alabama is allowing 20% capacity
Texas A&M 30%
Tennessee roughly 26k
Jesus H. Christ. Fucking hillbillies I tell ya..
August 19th, 2020 at 12:56 AM ^
I think you meant to say for their theoretical games.
August 19th, 2020 at 8:49 AM ^
Oh no, they'll have their games. We will watch football this year - number of cases be damned. And we'll all tune in gleefully to hear Pete Finebaum tell us why the SEC is so good every year.
Oh yes, there will be football this year.
August 19th, 2020 at 10:56 AM ^
I really doubt it. Even though the SEC has yet to cancel and is more willing to play the season, I'm guessing that they are nowhere near resilient enough to stand their ground once a few players start to test positive.
