5* QB Dylan Raiola flips from Georgia to Nebraska
The B1G West just got a lot more interesting...
Oh wait...
December 18th, 2023 at 5:29 PM ^
So does Air Noland flip to Georgia now?
December 18th, 2023 at 5:32 PM ^
Would be amazing if that was the case. Let's hope!
December 18th, 2023 at 5:35 PM ^
Beck is staying at Georgia. Not unrelated.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
Got a devil's haircut...in his mind.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
elllllllll ... ¡es un perdedor!

get crazy with the cheez whiz

December 18th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
Beck staying makes a lot of sense. Maye, Williams, Daniels, Penix, and Nix are all going to get a lot of attention. Stay another year, improve your stock, put yourself in that top 10 range. A few picks after JJ goes number 1 overall…
December 18th, 2023 at 5:44 PM ^
Beck will be in his fourth year next year - the '24 season. It looks like Beck redshirted his freshman season ('21) - so, should have two years of eligibility remaining.
IF Nolan went to Georgia - most likely, he'd learn next year - and - perhaps competes with Beck for the starting role in '25, or - maybe Beck enters the NFL Draft after next season.
It would seem like there will be a bit of anxiety in Columbus. Then again, perhaps not - since they think their only issue is their starting QB.
December 19th, 2023 at 9:25 AM ^
I would not be surprised at all if Beck plays one more year before entering the draft in 2025. UGA will still be very good, and Air NoLand will get a year of tutelage before taking the reins his sophomore season.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
Harbaugh could have gotten him to go blue. Just two cheeseburgers and a microphone.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:35 PM ^
They already had another 4 * QB in their class.
December 18th, 2023 at 6:29 PM ^
it wouldn’t surprise me, even with their losses to the portal he’d be the #3 guy walking in the door in Columbus.
Also, Georgia’s bagmen have deep pockets.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:31 PM ^
I'm just happy for that Corn Nation vlogger dude. Seems like a great guy.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
Just going to get his hopes up.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:32 PM ^
Probably will transfer after next year to Georgia, just like what Ewers did.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:47 PM ^
That was a different situation. CJ Stroud was an entrenched starter who would be staying at least another season so Ewers left for playing time. Raiola has a chance to be an immediate starter. He certainly can't be much worst than Jeff Sims. As long has he's better than Haarberg he should be the guy.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
The “official reason” Quinn Ewers gave to the media was that he was “home-sick” and that the Midwest was just too different for him to feel comfortable/he was a “Texas boy” at heart.
In terms of playing time and eligibility, Ewers purposely re-classified for a year earlier, so if he was upset that he’d have to sit behind CJ Stroud for 2 years instead of 1, that’s really his own doing…
December 18th, 2023 at 6:14 PM ^
He re-classified so he could collect on NIL. That's the only reason.
December 19th, 2023 at 1:42 AM ^
And he went to OSU initially because some Texas law was preventing him from collecting that NIL at first. Got a nice payday and transferred to Texas--where he always wanted to be--at the first opportunity.
December 19th, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
Yup, in terms of playing the NIL and transfer portal games, he played them perfectly.
December 19th, 2023 at 9:48 AM ^
It worked out for him, but it seems risky. If he didn't work out at Texas and another undergraduate transfer would have helped his development, he might have been stuck until he got his degree, right?
December 19th, 2023 at 8:24 AM ^
I doubt he will be there this time next year. He's in his third school before playing a single down in college, which to me says he can easily be swayed. Dante Moore started as a true freshman at UCLA(Probably was paid a ton to flip initially from Oregon), just to leave after a year to go back to Oregon.

Nebraska fans haven't celebrated like this since the day they hired Scott Frost
December 18th, 2023 at 5:36 PM ^
Best news for Nebraska fans since the day they fired Scott Frost
December 18th, 2023 at 6:15 PM ^
They have wi-fi in Nebraska?
December 18th, 2023 at 7:17 PM ^
Only at fast food joints...
December 19th, 2023 at 9:08 AM ^
I'm not sure I'm trusting "JK Electric".
December 18th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
Hired ? Or maybe fired Scott Frost ?
December 18th, 2023 at 6:26 PM ^
Hired, it was a joke about their last savior
December 18th, 2023 at 5:35 PM ^
Wow. Quite a coup for the Huskers. Let's see if Rhule can capitalize. Player development hasn't been a strength of theirs for a long, long time.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:36 PM ^
They will teach him how to commit 8 turnovers per game like only they can
December 18th, 2023 at 6:08 PM ^
If we go by Rhule's track record in college, it's one of his strength as a college coach.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:46 PM ^
Yup. He turned PJ Walker into NFL material. That is proven success.
December 19th, 2023 at 7:29 AM ^
For his sack, I hope he's good with QB's. Because a true freshman is going to suck ass in the Big 18 next year. He should be better than Haarburg, but I doubt he'll be good enough to get into a bowl game. Will depend a lot on their schedule, which I'm not going to go check...
December 18th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
Remember when Nebraska landed Adrian Martinez out of nowhere? Wonder if this one will work out better for them.
December 18th, 2023 at 6:28 PM ^
My thoughts exactly.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
Non mobile QBs don’t work unless they are Peyton manning 2.0. He won’t be good.
December 18th, 2023 at 7:10 PM ^
Two semi-recent Michigan QB recruits that were statues worked out very well in college: Henne and Mallett.
December 18th, 2023 at 7:16 PM ^
Chad Henne??
The dude started the 2004 season. That's practically 20 years ago. In no way shape or form does that qualify as "semi-recent" lol. The game has changed so much since then it's not a good example.
Edit: Shit man...20 years ago...
December 18th, 2023 at 7:36 PM ^
Fuck, why'd you have to give it context. I'm old af now.
December 18th, 2023 at 7:40 PM ^
Yeah that was just when spread offenses were starting to gain a semblance of popularity in mainstream college football. The game has changed ALOT since then, most teams still looked like Iowa. Better than Iowa, but similar style.
December 18th, 2023 at 8:14 PM ^
2004 WAS NOT THAT LONG AGO QUIT BULSHITTING I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALALALALA
December 18th, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
The time gap between JJ's first year starting and Henne's first year starting is the same as the gap between Henne's first year starting and Harbaugh's last year starting.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
😮😭
Hey, fuck you too, buddy.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
I had to look it up, but Mallet didn’t go pro until 2011 so that’s not too long ago and spread was already everywhere by then. I guess I didn’t realize how long ago Henne had been at UM since he just retired last year.
December 18th, 2023 at 9:41 PM ^
Obligatory RIP to Ryan Mallett.
December 19th, 2023 at 10:10 AM ^
That said, Henne led the Chiefs to a playoff win last season when Mahomes was injured. Dude had the best gig in the NFL - backup QB/clipboard holder.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
Interesting, after Rhule's comments on QB NIL. Guess the University listened.
December 18th, 2023 at 5:48 PM ^
His comments were about transfers, though I think your point still stands. Not cheap for any QB nowadays, recruit or transfer.
