No subscription, but it looks like he was an average 3 star who committed to Purdue last summer at a camp, had a really good senior season (finalist for mr football in Tennessee), decommitted from Purdue a couple weeks ago, and is getting a bunch of offers now. I'm guessing the timing has to do with the end of his season.

Seems like a bad sign considering how many wr offers are on the board. Sam Webb seems to think pie young is a lock if we want him. He also says we're recruiting mcdoom the hardest of the wr on the board

Hill is such a weird case that I really don't know what to think. I think it's smart to do your due diligence and check out other schools. I mean, why not? But he's gone back and forth numerous times. He said for a long time that he was 100% committed to PSU, but then he decommitted. Then a guy at 247 basically promised that Hill would be a Wolverine, and now said guy is stepping back from that notion a little bit.

Harbaugh closed 7 years of garbage outcomes in less than 9 months and, aside from a 1 in 1000 play had Sparty beat. He's not going to do worse over the next calendar year. I'm interested to see what he can do over the next 9 months into that game.

Dis gon be gud.

While he would never say we have zero chance, Sam has been consistent in what he's said about Corley from the beginning: that MSU has always been the leader for Corley, and that Michigan had a steep hill to climb.

Sam also said this morning that apparently Lavert Hill is expressing consternation over the departure of Durkin and the uncertainty over his replacment, and that Greg Jackson and other coaches are basically trying to keep things on a positive note with Hill. Sam believes the primary competition for Hill would be MSU. The fact that Corley and Hill have been tied together for so long and that MSU has been a consistent leader for Corley makes me guess that both will end up in EL. (That's my own pessimistic guess, not Sam's).

Sam also said that Hardman made statements during his visit about the unpleasant weather, and he pretty much dismissed any real possibility of him coming north. The only thing that would change that would be if Pruitt came up, but as of this morning Sam is still skeptical that's likely.

Doesn't hurt to run a legit 4.4 for a team lacking speed and athleticism at skill positions on both sides of the ball. Outside Peppers, Lewis, Chesson we need for some speed.

It's actually not unusual at all.  It's usually a sign that you are missing out on all your plan A guys.  Willie Henry was a notable late offer.

I think Pie is the guy we have the best chance with, wonder what this means about his recruitment.

You know many other people disagree with you and think Beilein can recruit just fine, yet you keep bringing that up even when there's really no need. Are you just trying to get a reaction out of someone? You obviously aren't going to change anyone's mind with a flat statement like that, so what's your point? Your constant need to harp on the Beilein can't recruit mantra is tiring, man. And it takes away from the rest of your post when you continually bring it up.

Many people do. But I'm not going to rehash the same argument that I've already seen on this board again and again and again. The other poster didn't give an opinion one way or the other, he just mentioned the many threads about it. You're the one who inserted your opinion, which accomplished nothing and had nothing to do with Harbaugh recruiting. For no reason.

just watched his film, I'd say him and Pie are pretty close. I like Mcdoom better than both, more electric.  It's obvious the coaches really want a fast slot guy in this class.

Not sure if the level of competion he played against was very good, says he played for a 6a not sure of the division make for Tennessee high school football. but his highlight tape is very impressive and that 4.47 forty time seems legit. I'd take him

I am certain we need someone in the a slot that can take it to the house and keep defenses honest. Someone who can take some of the pressure off of Peppers. We need speed also because with our inability to run we will need to rely on the quick strike pass game.
