I hear he's a strong Ohio St. lean. Just a rumor though.
He also is an injury risk, bad knees. The only future he has in football is beach football.
Beach volleyball can be intense...
EDIT: I am an idiot, please disregard
Where you gonna go all Warchild on him for saying Washington is an Ohio St lean?
I have my seatbelt ready.
This is unexpected.
I don't think we'll need a second 16 QB with Gentry and O'Korn comig in. Probably two in 17 though.

I haven't heard any talk that Davis could be a linebacker. You may be thinking of Reese, who's a FB/LB.
But it wasn't from anything I'd heard. Davis will certainly start at RB (or he wouldn't have committed to Michigan). I just said something along the lines of "he's a football player, if he doesnt' find a home at RB then he'll find a home at FB, H-back, DE, or LB". So maybe that's where it came from, but that was only based on my own assessment. I haven't seen anyone else say it (not bragging about that, I just haven't seen it reported anywhere and I believe Davis's coach specifically stated that Davis wouldn't have committed to Michigan if he wasn't play RB, so there wasn't a lot of reason to report otherwise).
Or maybe everyone is confusing him with Reese, I dunno.
Came in as a RB, out of Belleville I believe, and he switched to LB and was a very good one who went on to play in the NFL at that position.

Barry Switzer used to do it all the time at Oklahoma, find fast athletic players that were RB's in high school, and make them into very good LB's, and it is still done today, in fact, I would not be surprised to see Shallman and Speight become TE's before their careers are over.

Not since Harbaugh was hired, but he visited 4 times when Hoke was the coach.
According to Scout, Washington said JH called him directly and Washington said he's been told he's #1 on their board.
Now that Harbaugh is the coach I don't buckle up. I strap myself in and climb into a reinforced and padded support pod with my helmet on and a mouthguard.
kevlar cup ready.
If I am remembering correctly I believe Kingston Davis was thought to have potential on defense as well? That might help explain the influx of RB's.
thats correct, he said he wants to start on offense and prove himself but he also sounds like the kind of kid who feels privileged to play for Michigan and will do what he can to help the team.
Um, I think you're talking about David Reese. And David Reese said that he wants to start out on defense but would be willing to help the team by playing fullback if necessary.
That's David Reese you're thinking of.
Kind of a badass I heard
On a recruiting roundup posted on the front page shortly after Falcon commited, apparently the staff would not be taking another back unless Washington wanted in. I thought there was a Wheatley quote where he was basically gushing over Washington, rivaling a Fred Jackson analysis.
but it looks like only two guys predicted Michigan today after a whole bunch went in on Syracuse in the last couple days. Isn't it possible they're just doing contrarian predictions for the crystal ball points stuff? Of course it'd be great if Washington wants to be a Wolverine, but it looks like Michigan only went from 0 to 9% this morning on the crystal ball
Are just that, predictions based upon where analysts "think" a kid will go, they are not definitive, but are often just someone's best guess.
They are not like ping pong balls in a draft lottery, where percentages are absolute.
Four-star RB Robert Washington will decide tomorrow at 2 PM. I put in a #CrystalBall for #Michigan: http://t.co/kydqwYnKzf

RB is usually a position of high attrition, so having more quality options is a good thing. I also love the fact that early on in the Harbaugh regime we're raiding the south for talent. I don't want us to ignore Michigan and the Midwest. But, the south and west are where there are a lot more talented guys.
