2015 Cotton Bowl Open Thread

The Michigan State Spartans versus the Alabama Crimson Tide.  This will be a fistfight.  Saban against his old team, the much disrespected, huge chip-on-the-shoulder Spartans.

MSU has an outstanding front seven that matches up well with pro-style rushing attacks. Kiffin is attacking MSU's perceived weakness(their secondary) while trying to establish other threats. Henry will get his carries, but Bama will have to find other means of moving the ball because I don't see him going off on MSU.

Agree 100%.  MSU's whole game plan is to stop the run and if all you do is run a feature back in a pro style offense they will stop you - they commit 9 to stopping the run.  You have to open them up wide - Oregon, Purdue (yes Purdue) showed that - lots of passes to the flat and then it forces the defense wider and that opens up the middle.  So Kiffin is doing that with those end arounds and wide passes.

As much as I hate State, and dislike Mike and Connor.

1) They're in our conference

2) They're in our division

3) They're in our state

I hate the SEC and Bama EVEN more......

GO B1G!!!!!

Yeah, fuck it. Remember the SEC 7-year streak? It went Florida-LSU-Florida before Alabama got involved. So what if the Big Ten's new streak goes OSU-MSU-Michigan-OSU-Michigan-Michigan-Michigan? (I'm figuring we'll be pretty young in '17 and OSU will be reloaded faster.)

Having said that, I've always been a bit of a Clemson fan.
