I'm sure he was watching the game on TV and not live to see the pregame interview and he sent Mike Dantoni a text message on the sideline.

Who cares? If B1G wins their games tomorrow it won't matter anyways.

At least he's self-aware. He knows he does not really belong here, and can't win without some strange shit happening.
December 31st, 2015 at 9:59 PM ^
No shit. Monsoon in Columbus while 2nd best RB in nation is in hospital half the week anyone? Adams overthrows a wide open WR to give MSU a loss in week 2? Blake punt?
MSU lockerroom is going to be a bloodbath with all the ritualistic sacrifices that need to be made.

It could be close.
But that ain't the problem. It's those 3 guys lined up behind the DL that we're struggling with this year and we'll probably struggled with next year.

With their lack of speed at WR and RB they need to find ways to stress Bama's defense and perhaps the only way is to use tempo. It's beed effective for them thus far. Alabama is having problems in lining up properly when they do that.

That's actually a very intriguing matchup. Bama has struggled with the spread but until today, no one believed in Clemson.
Could be a lot of fun.

I love the contrast of styles. Two teams with completely different DNA. You don't get that in the NFL.
December 31st, 2015 at 10:01 PM ^
I agree - the style differences really make CFB fun. Being #LionsFree the last 3-4 years and seeing how every game is so generic in the NFL I really have lost a lot of interest in the pro game. I am sure if I was a fantasy nut I'd pay more attention but every damn game in the NFL seems the same nowadays in terms of systems.

Agreed. That would be interesting to watch and a game I'd actually look forward to.
As for the NFL, if you're AWFUL...like always AWFUL.
Why wouldn't you go get RGIII, Kaepernick and Manziel and run a true college style spread? No one is going to make it through the entire season, but you'd have a interesting offense for the fans. You'd have a TON of QBs to chose from because no other NFL is willing to change for these guys.
If you're a really bad team, why not take the chance? Take all of these spread QBs no one wants and run a college style spread offense. I actually think it could work. Or at least work better than the 3, 4, 5 wins these same teams get trying to role with guys like Matt Cassel.

Those guys went bonkers when Bama connected on the bomb to Ridley. I don't mind a little pro-Bama bias (that's why I didn't listen to WJR), but for a second I stopped rooting for Bama.
If you're in the Detroit area and can't watch on TV, go to 105.1 for the ESPN feed. Don't subject yourself to WJR...unless Bama's up big in the 4th quarter and you want to listen to Blaha and whoever the other guy is.
December 31st, 2015 at 9:58 PM ^
I'll just watch on TV...Herbie and Fowler do a great job.
December 31st, 2015 at 10:02 PM ^
ESPN is actually doing 2 feeds on radio - each for the home team i.e. ESPN is broadcasting Blaha for Sparty and whatever guy is for Bama.

How is Mark May still employed? And boy did Lou Holtz fall off the face of the earththth

Finally! I thought Lou would never go away. Can't stand that little ghoul.
December 31st, 2015 at 9:58 PM ^
MSU's D has looked good enough to keep them competitive, but Cook isn't good enough to win if they can't run the ball, and some of those crap throws he got away with in conference aren't working against Alabama (notice even on his completions how close the corners are). I will say, I thought Bama would have been up by more, so credit to MSU for keeping it close.
December 31st, 2015 at 10:01 PM ^
Cook is clearly injured. MSU can't run the ball. MSU is fucked.
