1. Jarvis Jones - Georgia

4. Manti Teo - Notre Dame

11. Johnathan Hankins - Ohio State

15. TAYLOR LEWAN

22. Kawann Short - Purdue

23. Tyler Eifert - Notre Dame

If we lose Lewan this year, we will have an extremely inexperienced line next year.  He sure does have a tough decision to make.

He was not offered by M and was not "pursued" by MSU.  Otherwise you are telling me that Izzo couldn't get an in-state kid that he actually wanted?  I spend some time on the MSU boards and they had barely a peep about this kid.

I don't know if it is academics or attitude but it matters a lot less when you don't expext a kid to have to pass more than 1 semester of classes before leaving school.

Man I really hope he sticks around. Breaking in 4 new OL, all underclassmen (mostly RS frosh) doesn't bode well for our team. Barring injury of course, it's a win-win situation for him

Anyone know what the OL situation looks like in this year's draft compared to next year's? Amount of competition could play a role in whether he decideds to stay or go.

i really don't want him to go, but it'd be awfully hard for me to blame him if he did. if i was a projected first-rounder, i'd want to leave. why stay another year, risk injury and potentially millions of dollars?

The NCAA backs loans to pay disability insurance premiums for football/hockey players graded in the first three rounds, basketball/baseball players graded in the first round (by the actual advisory committee, not ESPN). The NCAA puts a max that they'll broker a loan for at expected compensation for their respective grades (so rookie max in NHL plus expected signing bonus, draft position in football).

We will be breaking in a new starting qb and offensive line, but there is definitely talent left on the offensive side of the ball. I don't think we have to crawl up in the fetal position with fear when thinking about next year just yet. Not having to replace Lewan would be great, but he's done with school so if it was me I would be gone.

The defense should be a beast.  Countess, Taylor, and Avery at corner still after Floyd graduates.  Kovacs leaves but Robinson, Furman, Wilson, Thomas are all competing for that spot next to Gordon.  Ross, Bolden, and others competing for Demens' spot.  Black replaces Roh and Ash/Pipkins/Henry replace BWC.  And there are a number of young guys in the starting lineup just scratching the surface.

With what should be a fairly easy schedule (CMU is not Alabama) the offense will probably just have to not screw up for us to have a really good season.

If Lewan stays, I think we have more talent on O next year than we do this year. Especially when considering that talent will be more tailored to a pro style offense. I think at QB, Bellomy will be a very good player. Won't be the threat that Denard is obviously but will make good decisions with the ball and be accurate/efficient.

we'll likely have Toussaint back. Because before the season started I was bracing for a new RB to go along with the new QB and O-line. Hopefully he regains his 2011 form.

Lewan/Kalis/Miller/Bryant/Schofield looks a lot better than Schofield/Kalis/Miller/Bryant/Gunderson(or Braden).

I know he has to do what's best for him, but we need him back.

Jake Long stayed and it worked out for him.. But in the end, I see him going to the draft and I dont blame him..Nxt yrs offense is gonna look weird with all the changes about to come

No matter what his decision you can't blame him. He leaves now and he is a 1st round draft pick, he stays and he can help Michigan next year and possible be a top 5 pick. It's a win-win for the kid.

It depends what happens this year. If Michigan wins the big ten and he heads to the rose bowl I don't see him coming back. He will have garduated already and I don't see Michigan pushing for a national championship next year.

Could be possible he thinks he has something to work on and stays , guess we'll just have to find out

As much as I'd like to see him in maize and blue next season, I just don't see it.  He's been here for four years and put his time into the program.  As a potential first round pick, it makes sense for him to go after this season.

#25 was a real blast from the past -- Tank Carradine!  Sad how many of the defensive guys were players I onced thought might come here (Hankins, Montgomery, Carradine)
