Tyler Morris Has Committed to Michigan
JJ McCarthy will won’t have to mourn the loss of Xavier Worthy long, as his favorite high school target, IL 4* WR Tyler Morris, announced he’ll be joining his former QB in Ann Arbor for the 2022 season.
BREAKING: Top247 WR Tyler Morris has committed to #Michigan as Jim Harbaugh and the #Wolverines beat Notre Dame and Florida among others for a coveted 2022 target. More here: https://t.co/K5ixdC3V75

Michigan’s latest Nazareth Academy product is a smooth, slippery and athletic outside receiver who draws a lot of comparisons to Golden Tate. He’s listed at 6-0/175 and ranked in the top 100 to Rivals and 24/7, one of a pair of Illinois speedsters Josh Gattis has been after for the 2022 class since he arrived, the other being RB/WR Kaleb Brown, whom Michigan’s recruiting at slot receiver.
While Brown remains the subject of an ongoing tug-of-war with Ohio State, Morris came down to Michigan and Notre Dame. I’ll have a more complete scouting report tomorrow.
There is no content after the jump.
Welcome young man! Go Blue!
Let's try to hold on to this one, shall we?
Eh, if he’s any good he’ll get 30 targets a season.
I always knew Worthy was a bum. I mean, he didn't have a single catch in his Michigan career. Can't put all of that on playcalling.
Xavier was Worthy, but Morris better.
YES! So excited--Morris is a game-changer. Welcome to the family!
GO BLUE!!!
An excellent pick-up! Welcome aboard!!
Love this guy. JJ's going to reel in Brown and Michigan will have the best skill talent across the board it's had in more than a decade
Best skill talent by what measure? Even if Michigan does get Kaleb Brown I don't think that stacks up against their 2017 class.
Aj Henning, Roman, Drel Anthony, cristian dixon, kaleb brown, Tyler Morris, tayshawn trent etc...plus Blake corum, donovan edwards etc @ running back. JJ McCarthy at quarterback. Loaded!
Andrel Anthony isn't even a top 500 guy. He could be good but not everyone who comes to Michigan is going to be a star, even often the ones who look like they will be.
I love your optimism. I've been in your shoes before. Unfortunately, It doesn't work like that at Michigan. I'm willing to bet there's one or two NFL draft picks in that bunch, but the rest will be transfers or role players. The one or two that are NFL draft picks will be greatly underutilized and never reach their potential here. They'll win between 8-10 games every year, never win a Big 10 championship and likely lose to OSU all four years. Before you neg me, I will tell you that this is all reverse psychology, because being optimistic about Michigan Football and their new batch of kids doesn't work.
The 2017 class doesn’t outweigh the skill position talent Michigan has amassed in the last two classes and is putting together in this class.
Nice!!! While it does offset the loss of Worthy, it doesn't help this year. Nonetheless, a great bit of news this afternoon!
To be fair, Worthy has elite speed but at 6’1” 160, I’m not sure how much impact he was going to have this year either.
Welcome to Michigan, Tyler!
Some people on twitter are suggesting he recently injured his knee. Keeping fingers crossed it's either outright bunk or not serious if true.
He liked a tweet that mentions that he tore his ACL unfortunately.
well fuck.
Looks that way - touched on in the Message Board Hello thread...
Michigan's WR room is so loaded. Really excited to see more spread sets this year.
Warinner is a great coach and his running game had some great moments, but I think the schemes will be more coherent philosophically under Gattis and Moore. Less TEs and FBs for the running game should mean more snaps for the WRs. I expect the offense to look noticably faster this year.
Go Blue!
Did you say your wr room was so loaded? Our third strings could start at receiver for you guys?
At least they would learn to run some routes that way.
No doubt y'all have a talented roster. Looking forward to the matchup this fall.
That should be a concern for you, Buckeye 824. How much does a third string osu receiver make? I imagine there are school's willing to lure them into the transfer portal with raises in their base pay.
yeah, yeah, yeah...we know.
Go on and get
As much as I wish Mason had been at Michigan earlier, I think it's better he's gone. Gattis obviously didn't really want to use him given they moved him to DL. He's not what prevented them from running the QB but still. Year 3 and we're still waiting to see what the offense is supposed to look like. If it's the same Harbaugh will be gone.
Good shit Jedd
#1 and #2 WR's catching bombs from #9.
Let's freaking Go.
Go Blue.
This is a big get. Welcome, Tyler!
Huzzah! Go Blue!
Will Won't.... can he play DT?
Well that's good news.
We should probably find out which players he likes most on the team just to be sure they're happy.

Underrated comment.
I want to be excited...what I don't want: "Tyler follows JJ to the portal" a year or two from now...
Phew...good news.
Welcome young sir, time to go to work
Welcome Tyler! Go Blue!

Hello Bolivia!!!
What in hell does this have to do with welcoming a kid into the Michigan family?
There are sites specifically for conversations about that kind of thing. I know you'll be banned, for this, but my question is.....why do it in the first place? This is a sports blog, man. ?♂️

Excellent point "KentuckianaWolverine".
I'll heavily edit his post to remove the offensive stuff that doesn't belong in a post celebrating a new recruit. I'd remove the post itself but can't without also losing all the comments that follow.

Harbaugh WILL have some talent to work with if he can figure out how to stay around here.
