All other competitors will get a participation ribbon, but the competition is over:

At private schools we're forced to wear ties.

There has been an official ban on wearing Tom Hammond based clothing at Brother Rice High School.

Listen, I'm not saying you shouldn't do what makes you happy, but I remember high school as a time when you tried to make yourself the smallest target possible, not provide even more ammo.

we can get a transcript of the Tom Hammond ban conversation? If you get called to the principal's office to talk about your Tom Hammond tie, how does that conversation go? and the following day does the school print or make an announcement regarding the new ban?

I see a lot of potential for a Tom Hammond's "Stuff of Nightmares" clothing line. And the merchandising, how about a poster to watch over you while you sleep, or Nightmare Fuel Extreme Energy Drink? Nicely done, any time they have to change the rules just for you, you're doing good work.

What a glorious Sunday! If I were in AA I'd hit the North Side Grill, order up some pancakes, and then intentionally dip that hiye-inous crime of a tie in thick maple syrup. Tom Hammond!

I... Uhh... Wow. Tom Hammond has reached legend status in the blogosphere. I'm sure that zero other students understood the meaning of that tie, which makes it 100 times more awesome.

Actually, the idea for the tie belongs to Paco Higdon (who is in the picture). Chris just submitted it to mgoblog. Credit where credit is due.
