Does that mean you loan Terrelle Pryor cars?

Tom reports that OH DE Tom Strobel has committed to Michigan. Strobel is a four-star to Scout and Rivals and on the edge of four at ESPN; he had an Ohio State offer in March; Tim will be filling you in shortly, this is just a placeholder.

Look at that gaze.  Lookin straight through your line, son.  Gonna take my shovel and my pick and get up into that green field back there, boy.

I thought the game was in A^2 this fall?

Don't you all think it's a little early to claim victory? I mean really. One player does not make a "trend."  It's still going to take Hoke a few years to turn that mess around in A^2. I understand your enthusiasm though.

Now there's another thing I want you to remember. I don't want to get any messages saying that "we are holding our position." We're not holding anything. Let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We're going to hold onto him by the nose and we're going to kick him in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of him all the time and we're going to go through him like crap through a goose!

We drink up your milkshake OSU.

Can someone tell me what other top flight DE/DT prospects we're in on? I've heard we're only taking 4 d-lineman and we've already taken 3 now, with only 1 being a DT. Can someone enlighten me?

Anyhow, welcome to Michigan Tom. Great choice.

Chris Wormley, Adolphus Washington, Greg McMullen, Ifaedi Odenigbo and Se'Von Pittman. All are listed as DE but Washington, McMullen and Wormley have the size to eventually be DTs.

In a recent ESPN article, Michigan is listed as one of ten schools that he's considering along with Washington, Stanford, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Cal, Auburn, Nebraska and Arizona.

Well I must say this Hoke guy and company can sure as hell recruit. Not bad considering the ties we probably lost over the last 3 yrs.

Lets hope he can turn it around on the field as well.

This is a huge get. Not only does the kid have the makings to be a hell of football player, he also seems to be very mature with his head on tight. Should become a great locker room guy in the future as well.

If this kid plays like I remember Mentor playing 10 years ago, he'll be well prepared for battle. Mentor was always in the State tourney discussion. Hoke/Mattison uber alles!

I like Hoke's recruiting strategy: gain all your commits in the summer so the fanbase has something to be excited about before the season starts.

TOM: What about any of the coaches? I know they're new to Michigan, but did you know anything about them?

STROBEL: I knew that Mattison had been at Baltimore, but it shows that he's going to be there and he's not going anywhere if he came from the pros. I don't want to be switching coaches constantly, so it makes a difference for a coach to be there the whole time.

Looks like OSU definitely took a hit when Tressel left and the future of the program is such an unknown.
