Odd that the Lions never even signed the player(s) they "tampered" with...

NASCAR's rigged too, huh? Is it illicit technological edge? Gambling money dictating the outcome of matches?

I blame Matt Millen
February 18th, 2011 at 2:46 PM ^
from now till eternity Matt Millen is to blame.
I don't get this issue though, how does the coach making a random statement equate to tampering? Yet N.E. can break major rules and get a slap on the wrist? Yes Detroit needs to be punished, that much is clear

Arn't people in Detroit punished enough with being forced to watch the lions on sundays?
February 18th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
Still less painful than the Browns, Bengals, Mud Hens, Clippers, Indians, Destroyers, and Cavaliers all put together.

They werebetter than their record this season.

The article just says that KC is filing a grievance, not that the NFL has ruled on anything yet without any mention of the draft picks. Did I miss where it indicated that they were guilty of anything or that a punishment had been handed down?
February 18th, 2011 at 2:49 PM ^
I was thinking the same thing.
February 18th, 2011 at 2:52 PM ^
Schefter tweeted the punishment has been handed down. Kind of useless to link to a tweet.

it sounds like somebody has tampered with the Chiefs/Chefs intelligence. What a non-story.
February 18th, 2011 at 2:53 PM ^
Why am i not surprised that the chiefs are filling tampering charges because of something that was written by the freep.
February 18th, 2011 at 3:21 PM ^
The Freep......having had their blood lust temporarily satiated by the firing of RR have now turned their death ray upon the Lions.
I love companies that declare war on ther customers and then wonder why their market share is evaporating.

Just like the cigarette companies.
February 18th, 2011 at 3:23 PM ^
For anyone complaining about the Free Press even being remotely involved.... they had nothing what so ever to do with this.
February 18th, 2011 at 5:28 PM ^
Blasphemy! You don't find it strange that the newspaper sourced on a story about a Michigan team breaking the rules is the freaking Freep! Whatever you have to do to sell papers....

your innocence is cute

I will certainly agree that terrible Decade Of The Infinite Millen is to blame. Why must his foul aura persist in Allen Park even today?
February 18th, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
Can we give the Chiefs exclusive negotiating rights to Charles Rogers? I heard he has sub 4.3 speed.

If they wanted to penalize the Lions a fifth or seventh round pick, they should have done it where the Lions typically pick such players: any pick in the first three rounds that isn't in the top five of the first.
