Quick Jordan Diamond Update
I just got off the phone with super 2012 OL Jordan Diamond. Jordan was recently offered by Ohio State, and as you know is starting to collect a lot of offers.
He'll be visiting Wisconsin this weekend (2/11), Michigan next weekend (2/18), and Ohio State the weekend after that.
Jordan sounds like he wants to stay in the midwest, and he got the chance to meet Coach Hoke a few weeks ago. He really likes him too. When I asked him about Ohio State he didn't sound really excited either. This is a long way to go but Michigan can make a big impression on him this weekend.

I'm gonna make an entirely unadvised and uneducated guess and say Diamond's our first high-profile commit. I don't know anything I just feel like saying it.
February 8th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
I'm inclined to agree, but there may be another first.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
I am picking up what you are putting down JC3 and I like it.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
care to share who?
February 8th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
Do you consider either of the Cass Tech guys "high profile"?
February 8th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
I consider this one higher profile than them. But they will be too.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
How long do you think it'll be before this mystery man possibly commits?
February 8th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
Wormley?
February 8th, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
I like the way this sounds...I'm going to guess C. Wormley
That Jaleel Johnson is a beast
February 9th, 2011 at 12:21 AM ^
I like your guess of Chris Wormley. I want to say Ross, but I think he might be a commit who takes his time.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
I don't think either RJS or Richardson are as definite as we'd like to think. If anything both will at least test the waters at other schools before commiting. It just seems like both are interested in other schools along with Michigan, unlike a guy like Hollowell who was solely Blue from the start.
February 9th, 2011 at 12:24 AM ^
For some reason I think that your assessment of Richardson might be correct. He has more offers that RJS at this moment which leads me to believe that he might take more time.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
I want you to BK Finest your nameless implication!

I think its time you tag your posts a la TomVH. Basically making it must read.
JC3: Quick Jordan Diamond update.
February 8th, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
IMO, Diamond became critical when we lost out on Fisher. People who don't understand how good he is should check out his offer list and then watch his combine highlights.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
Johnson is just owning everyone in that video.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
That Jaleel Johnson guy looks like the real deal as well. He made Diamond look silly on a couple of those.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
He was included in Tom's post the other day. Could be close to an offer.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
Can we please offer Jaleel Johnson? Kid is a beast and dominates Diamond in this video.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
..Here's some film.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
on that Boehm? kid?
Like the footwork of Diamond, and the hip level and action of Boehm.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
He's one of the top guards in the country. If you watch the other videos, he dominates in them too. No word on Michigan interest, however.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
Yes! That's our man from CC, eh? Any word on how he's shaping up against the best? Went easily around your top guard there
February 8th, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
His recruitment's been picking up recently, as well. He's got offers from Buffalo, Cincy, MSU, Duke, and Syracuse, with interest from M, Iowa, LSU, Notre Dame, and Georgia. Could get an offer at the Junior Day if he shows up.
February 8th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
Like the the idea of a highly rated kid out if CC again. Danny O'Brien seems a must as well, I hope Hoke prioritizes him. Though after reading the link below, understand he's not nearly a lock.

BuckeyePlanet is a great site to find inside information about Ohio prospects. But for someone like O'Brien, you're not going to get anything there that isn't readily available here.
But yes, I agree that O'Brien isn't a lock at this point.
February 9th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
...and we're dealing with high school kids.
Nobody is a lock (except Delonte Hollowell was a lock but he's the exception proving my rule).
February 9th, 2011 at 9:55 AM ^
duane long report is a good site too, if you can get past his poor grammar.
February 9th, 2011 at 12:29 AM ^
With the DT talent pool being large in the midwest this year how many do we take?
February 9th, 2011 at 8:51 AM ^
I'd hope anywhere between 2-4. You might be able to count Wormley as a 3-tech DT, too.
February 9th, 2011 at 1:42 AM ^
Boehm is my mother's maiden name. Don't worry guys, I'll get on it.
February 9th, 2011 at 7:25 AM ^
hahaha
February 8th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Godin looked good in that vid, too. He burned Boehm with that spin move.
February 9th, 2011 at 8:33 AM ^
how does diamond compare to fisher? who would you rather have?
February 9th, 2011 at 8:53 AM ^
A lot of people raved about Fisher's upside. Without having seen him at the camps he evidently dominated, I don't think I can make a fair opinion as to who I'd prefer.
Based solely on film, however, I'd rather have Diamond. He's a pretty lean, cut 290, and he's dominant in both the run and pass protection. He's got great footwork and moves well for someone that big.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
Thanks for the update mini TomVh
February 8th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
approves. He's a Michigan fan, if I recall.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
Now there's an interesting choice of words!
February 8th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
February 8th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
He works with Tom at URecruit. Kiiiinda a big deal. He has many leather bound books, and his apartment smells of rich mahogany. If you aren't already, I'd follow him on twitter.
February 8th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
On TomVH's post yesterday, he said that JC3's name was Jeff...so we have that to work with...
February 8th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
I work for Tom.
Edit: Thanks for the twitter plug, DGDestroys!
February 8th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
Awesome. Very excited to have another recruiting guru on board. Can I work for Tom, too?

February 9th, 2011 at 7:58 AM ^
I don't know if I believe you. You look like an Esurance commercial.
February 9th, 2011 at 11:11 AM ^
Those not-quite-real-people freak me out
February 9th, 2011 at 8:39 AM ^
No offense, but your material would make for less interesting threads than TomVH or JC3.
