Giving the ball to Todd Collins - who just about gave it back...
January 23rd, 2011 at 4:57 PM ^
Is in! Whoo Hooo!
January 23rd, 2011 at 4:59 PM ^
If Chicago has to play the rest of the way with Collins, I think this one's over...
January 23rd, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
The time has come for Collins to hang em up. He has spent too much time carrying the clipboard, he looked awful again today.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:03 PM ^
Todd Collins was the QB in the first ever game I attended at Michigan Stadium. I'm happy he's still playing.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:15 PM ^
So are Packer fans right about now.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
... Im a bears fan, unless our D and special teams can score all the points today were not going to win.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
Yea, this is pretty bad.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
... is crushing the dreams of many Notre Dame fans, yet again.
One of my favorite Michigan players, and a heckuva student, too.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:17 PM ^
Lost at home in 93 and won in 94. Its great to see him still playing. Not many guys 16 years out of college are still in the NFL.
Epic games his senior year. Remy with the big FG at the end to beat ND and then the crushing losses to Colorado on the Kordell Stewart play and then the duel with Kerry Collins and Penn State. Wheatley had an amazing TD run right after half.

GO PACK GO!
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:11 PM ^
This is looking pretty grim for Chicago at this point.....but it is great to see a former Wolverine in there for them.

January 23rd, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
Until today, that was the only Green Bay game I watched. I think they sent body doubles to play the Lions.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:32 PM ^
Matt Flynn played instead. I don't think Rodgers was as sharp as he is now when he went out, though.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:41 PM ^
Rodgers missed most of that game because the Lions fucked his shit up.
(Not really, but it's the Lions so you can say whatever you want)
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
I would never forgive Cutler for quiting today. I know they say his knee is hurt but he quit on this game and doesnt want to take the blame for it. Dude is a joke!
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
Until it comes out that he has town cartilage or a meniscus or something.
Also,
TOUCHD...oh wait. Inside the five though.
Ok now: TOUCHDOWN!
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
doesn't really hold up unless you're playing in one of those sissy domes.
January 23rd, 2011 at 6:05 PM ^
Haha, town cartilage. My bad.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
Just want this out there, Jay Cutler quit on his team. He is standing there like the whiny asshole that he is and not even attempting to get back in the game. I am a Steeler fan so I am used to seeing Ben go out there with a broken nose or foot and gut through a game. Cutler doesn't have it in him and never will.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:28 PM ^
Thats a joke and I cant believe these pus**ies calling the game isnt calling him out on it.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:24 PM ^
it's time for hanie mania
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:29 PM ^
Think they make a t-shirt for that?
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:31 PM ^
... during the original hanie mania 2 years ago, when everyone wanted him to replace grossman and orton
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:27 PM ^
What's the rule where Cutler/Collins can't come back because they were done before the fourth quarter? Is it the amount of QB's the Bears went with?
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Those weird, obscure NFL rules, and their impacts on playoff games....
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
Oh the NFL and their crazy rules, just designed to screw teams over...
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:29 PM ^
and they can't bring in other qb's or something like that? im confused, is this baseball?
also, too bad, i wish todd collins could have led a sweet comeback
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
You can only bring the 3rd string in (before the 4th quarter) if the other two QBs are out.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:45 PM ^
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't have any clue what they were talking about.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
lol damn that dude is lame. I thought he would be a great LB but he is average.at best
January 23rd, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
You clearly don't watch a lot of packer games. Dude is a beast. Too bad he's a buckeye; makes him way less likable to me.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caleb_Hanie
On January 23, 2011, Hanie entered the NFC Championship Game due to a bruised ego to Jay Cutler and second-string quarterback Todd Collins' laziness. He drove the Bears to their first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter.
Hanie went on to lead the Bears to the Super Bowl.
Well done, internet
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:35 PM ^
Can you imagine Hanie starting in the Super Bowl as his first career start?
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:37 PM ^
that someone thought to update his wikipedia page that fast.
January 23rd, 2011 at 6:02 PM ^
How many people had to google him to figure out who the hell he was. I sure did.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:36 PM ^
We should have our DB coach after the Bears game.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:37 PM ^
Maybe not. It's not over yet (please, please, please?).
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:39 PM ^
spectacular
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:46 PM ^
I would like to see Corwin Brown here. Does Cornflakes have a relationship with existing staff? I thought I remember some say he would do well back here, but thought I read that he burned bridges here??
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
McCarthy should be fired for all those 4th and short punts in Chicago territory.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
It seems like he is Tressel-balling it. He knows that chicago can't score and is content just to make their offense go the length of the field. Reminds me of M-OSU in 07. I am going to have some whiskey now.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
Reminds me of when Red Boyou just knelt three times and punted, taking Bobby Bouchier out of the game.
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^
not like MM as coach. But then I heard during pre-game he was up for coach of the year??
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
I think that's the right call. This is one game where Lloyd Tresselball makes sense.
In other news, I just found out AJ Hawk is still alive!
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
throwing up in your mouth, just a little right?
January 23rd, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
WOOOOHOOOO.....I can smell a super bowl!!!!!! F all of these teams tho. Seriously. Go Lions.
