January 21st, 2011 at 5:01 PM ^
it coulb be fixed without surgery.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:03 PM ^
I got 100 that says he plays less then 6 games next year.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:06 PM ^
He'll play all 19.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
OK how much are we putting on this?
January 21st, 2011 at 5:10 PM ^
Your life.....

My life sucks

Three word sentence.

I hate Ohio

Where's the beef?
January 21st, 2011 at 5:35 PM ^

My balls itch.
January 21st, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
Too much information.
January 21st, 2011 at 7:11 PM ^
Sentences have verbs. Yours is verbless. You have failed. (Three for the price of one!)
January 21st, 2011 at 11:42 PM ^
And it died.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
.. they'll put together a decent line to protect him and he will get 9 games in??
January 21st, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
are actually top 5-10 in pass protection. Pretty impressive considering that they had to protect a 2nd string and 3rd string QBs for most of the season.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
You shut your whore mouth!
January 21st, 2011 at 5:03 PM ^
...and there goes the Lions' latest hope. Being their number one pick is like being a Clippers' number one pick or a Michigan safety.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
January 21st, 2011 at 5:22 PM ^
...to write off three decades of bad luck. Just think if the Clips would have somehow drafted Oden.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
Isn't this the same injury that Bradford had when he was at Oklahoma? He seems to have recovered A-OK.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
I'm not surprised that he needed shoulder surgery, but I see this being an injury that never really ends. As long as he keeps taking hits, he will continue to hurt his shoulder. I actually like Stafford when he is healthy. He can make some tremendous throws, but the Lions need to invest in a new QB. I don't care how they do that (either in the draft or through trades), but it needs to happen.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
I think Stafford is a fantastic quarterback with great potential. Our line could be improved a bit, but this year they were pretty good at not giving up sacks. Stafford just needs to spend some substantial amount of time strengthening his shoulder so these issues stop happening. I can only imagine how frustrated he has been the last two seasons. I can tell the whole offense seems to be more pumped up when he is leading the team. I think the Lions have the talent to win the NFC North next year. Yes, I said it.....
January 21st, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
You know I hated him when he knocked us out of the tourney in 08, but wow I'm really starting to love him in the NFL. He is just straight dirt right now.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
January 21st, 2011 at 5:13 PM ^
Yes he is Tim Tebow
January 21st, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
All the bad things I shouted at him during that single game, they cannot be unshouted.
I'm forced to hate him to keep consistency.

Blake Griffin is my favorite basketball player in the NBA. (Even though I hardly watch the NBA)
January 21st, 2011 at 5:39 PM ^
Because Blake Griffin is palming the back of his head.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:10 PM ^
I do alot of work on a fitness club here in Dallas and in the off season he has got a personal trainer that he works out with. I hope this guy can work miracles with that shoulder or he will be done i'm afraid.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:16 PM ^
I hope Stafford can stay healthy. It would be interesting to see if the Lions can do well (and some good news for the region).
Although not a Lions fan, I've been a long time Lions watcher, so I won't believe it until I see it. Or until William Clay Ford sells the team (and ends his curse).
January 21st, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
if only the Lions didn't win so much.
They could be back to picking a new QB at the top of the draft.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:21 PM ^
They need LB, CB, OL, WR before they need a QB. Even if Stafford gets hurt again, they still have Hill.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
And how is that different from any other year?
January 21st, 2011 at 5:27 PM ^
They haven't needed to draft a WR for awhile now but they need a #3 WR. Last year they didn't need LBs. They had Sims, Levy and Peterson. Corner and OL have been needs for awhile now...but Matt Millen isn't drafting so I have confidence in Mayhew.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:27 PM ^
Because normally it's Everything.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
Cause most other years they a need QB, RB, and DL also
January 21st, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
What would Matt Millen do?
If he were still here would would have no issue at WR! However, your post would read...
"They need LB, CB, OL, QB, S, DT, DE, C, P, and K.

This is not a labral tear or a glenohumeral issue or even a rotator cuff issue. It is just acromiocalvicular disclocation. Many time this heals on it's on but if you perform surgery you can assure yourself primary intention (ie. the bones meet and merge appropriately). I'm not sure why they are shaving the clavicle unless it had some over growth that could threaten the rotator cuff.
This is exactly the injury that Bradford had and exactly the same thing happened to Stafford when he tried to come back (remember Bradford tried to return for the Texas game after hurting himself against BYU and was knocked out for the season). I personally feel all AC joint issues should be surgically treated if you are in a contact sport but not all orthos feel that way. However most guys who try to let it self heal usually reinjure it unless they have surgery for fixation.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:37 PM ^
he had degenerative changes on the distal clavicle or they wanted to make more AC space.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
They probably wanted to make more AC space - that actually makes sense
January 21st, 2011 at 5:38 PM ^
For those who speak english that would be a seperated shoulder.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
I AM NERD!
January 21st, 2011 at 5:55 PM ^
Don't be! I'm studying to be a paramedic and was just happy I understood what you were talking about.
January 21st, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
have Hill though...Well then just keep building the defense Martin Mayhew.
