No interviews Today
Michigan did not do interviews today according to this: http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2011/01/michigan_not_commenting_on_po….
Making me think that I worried a lot and pressed f5 a lot for a whole lot of nothing...
And also that Les is the guy because he has the 24 hour notice clause in his contract (http://i.usatoday.net/sports/graphics/2009/coaches-contracts/pdf/miles_…) (page 9 clause 12c). Why else wouldn't they do interviews today?

Then what the hell would we talk about? I thought this site was created to discuss the coaching search?

He tells you what is going to happen. Then it does.

Les Miles >>>>>>>>>> James Bond
January 9th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Les Miles >>>>>>>>>>>> England
You notice they haven't been getting into wars lately and don't run any other countries like they used to, haven't you? Coincides exactly with the birth of a freedom loving youngster named Leslie Middle Initial Miles.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:17 PM ^
Well, except for the Falkland Islands. At least they can still push Argentina around.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
England does his bidding. They brought back thousands of them and Miles polished them off in a matter of minutes. Luckily for Argentina, this permanently satisfied his craving.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:37 PM ^
that was almost 30 years ago and IIRC they took a few hits before mopping it all up. Damn Argentines, first with the Nazis then the Falklands. I do hear BA is lovely in the spring though.

I sort of get the odd feeling that Alleva is full of shit.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^

January 9th, 2011 at 10:34 PM ^

January 9th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
Is that you?
January 9th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
Haha thanks for the laugh, guy 1: "agreed" (turns to guy 2), etc.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:51 PM ^
...I should have concurred.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
You dirty yes man.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
I can tell you that Alleva is massively full of shit. Dude is an out and out baldfaced liar.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
Could obviously be wrong, but if Miles is the target, wouldn't this be done by now? Wouldn't you have a deal in place long before their meaningless bowl game, especially if Miles is supposedly anxious to get back to Ann Arbor?
Also, everything I've read says "Miles will take the job if offered." Nobdy seems to have a clue what Brandon is up to, so if Miles ain't taken the job, my hunch is he still hasn't been offered.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Hell, for all we know it might be done. That being said, I still believe that it cannot be announced until Wednesday, per state law.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:34 PM ^
If no announcement could be made for a week, Brandon woud have said something about it I'm sure. Also, the law seems pretty easy to get around with its "unless you really feel like you have to do it fast" exceptions.
You could definitely be right on the deal being done though. This is just my gut reaction to the likelihood that we're going after him (especially in light of what happened last time around), not a hope that he does/doesn't come or any actual knowledge/insight.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
it's Bob Davie. DB's giving Davie the courtesy of calling the Fight Hunger Bowl then he's pulling the trigger.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:35 PM ^
That is my take as well. If Hoke or Miles were going to be the chosen one this thing would be over by now. This hire is coming out of left field and in a major way. At least that is what conventional wisdom would lead me to believe. So probably Hoke or Miles will get the job in about 3 weeks from now. FML

This is not important at all and Angelique pretty much made that clear after tweeting it.
@briank112 it is, but.....i wouldn't read too much into UM not contacting AD yet.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:35 PM ^
You can't tell me nothin'.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:47 PM ^
I just watched that whole thing, and as much as I wanted to laugh... it just weirded me out.
January 9th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
If we dont get Miles and end up with Hoke ( who would hitchhike with a trucker to get to Ann Arbor). I'm gonna be preaty pissed wasting all this money on the outside firm when this couldve been done the day after he RichRod was fired.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
the day after the freakin' OSU game!
January 9th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
End of day # 5,...No BREAKING NEWS.... calling it a night.....
January 9th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
This is sad. I am starting to enjoy all the punch drunk posts more than I feel the need to have information, any information, regarding the new head coach.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:10 PM ^
It is all about coping and reaching our limits of processing...so don't feel bad.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^

That, or we have.....on the mind.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
at first to realize there was even text...and then I saw the caption....thats exceptional
January 9th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
Yes, Les Miles had sex with her too.
January 10th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
I'm down with Les if only there is a stipulation in his contract that he must be my wing man.
January 10th, 2011 at 12:17 AM ^
Damn you Les Miles!! <shakes fist at sky>
January 9th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
Octopussy will run Special Teams.
January 9th, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
Oh don't worry, you have nothing to fear. DB is a devout obsever of the Sunday Sabbath. Hopefully God blesses his efforts the week ahead...we are going to need it!!!
January 9th, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^
....Les Miles was going to be the HC, Jon Gruden was going to be the DC, Steve Spurrier was going to take over as OC and Sly Stallone was going to be our Strength-n-conditioning nut with alil bit of assistance from Roger Clemens and/or Brian McNamee..........story is getting legs as we speak.
