We are 1-0 against Meyer. What are we against Tressel? 1-8, 1-9?? Has it really been that long?

Assuming Wikipedia is right about his coaching stops or that I'm not misreading something. We beat Bowling Green in 2000, the year before he started there, and we beat Utah in 2002, also the year before he started at that school.

12 hours to Atlanta, see some friends. Over to Savannah, which, touristy, but nice. Jekyll Island, where the sprinklers were running in the morning. Jacksonville last night, where I gave DB a Go Blue at River City Brewing Company (food is awful, beer is worse - just go to Ruth's Chris). Dinner this evening at the Ritz on Amelia Island, where, no shit, our waitress was a Michigan State grad.
My first bowl game. Don't think I'll ever miss another. Go Blue

Addictive.

Not sure if you were kidding about this part, but either way, it's perfect:

Nice girl, but unwittingly provided me a lifetime supply of cannon fodder for the rivalry.

Just out of curiosity, what did you find touristy about Savannah? I was there earlier last year and didn't see much of that away from downtown and the riverfront. Looked pretty authentic in most spots, actually ...

We only had the one day, spent on the waterfront and downtown. Nice with the Spanish moss, town squares and churches. But literally/figuratively almost run over by the horse-drawn, walking, and cart tours, and 'Oglethorpe' now tattooed on my brain.
If I sound like I didn't enjoy it I've missed my mark - very nice town, even in the touristy part.

Dude, are you serious? After watching Sheridan rip up Minnesota in 2008? Come on.....
January 1st, 2011 at 12:43 AM ^
you forgot about Feagin too.

ANYone can rip up Minnesota. South Dakota State, on a good day, could hand Minny their ass and make them like it.
Oh, wait...

The game tomorrow...

Does not say that. It says that Bruce Feldman's hunch is that Meyer will be the next head coach after Tressel. Later in his paragraph he says that he could also see Meyer taking over for Mack Brown, so he's just linking Urban Meyer to big name jobs in the near future.

For any big time jobs that open up. Check. They're not the WWL for nothing!

one who just isn't that impressed with Meyer. He simply should have won more at Florida given the talent. To me it seems like it was all Tebow.
January 1st, 2011 at 12:52 AM ^
It's just you.

(2 of 6 National Championships not enough for you? The first with Tebow in a limited role...)

He won 2 MNCs plus another BCS bowl. How much more could he have won?
January 1st, 2011 at 1:00 AM ^
If you count Utah.

In fact, if he can beat PSU today, he'll have won every bowl he coached in...except...well, you know....

you're in a very small club.
Urban Meyer may be a total a--hole but he knows how to win college football games. Period.

I don't listen to ANYTHING until its been officially announced anymore....
January 1st, 2011 at 4:22 AM ^
Let's see: Meyer leaves because the long hours are affecting his health and he is burnt out on having to miss his kids' various athletic events. So, obviously, his next stop should be a nice, laid-back program like that of OSU. Yeah, that's it....

This is the shit I wake up to on new years day.
Edit: My interpretation watching College Football Live last night is Lou Holtz projects his son Skip to ND. I base this on nothing but Lou crazy medication and Mark Mays’ ESS EEE SEE man lovin.
