shall be interesting.

assuming the above items are true:
how have OSU's gear audits not discovered items missing? they're supposed to account for all but one item which the player is allowed to keep yet i doubt this just started this year.
btw over/under on how many months before that tattoo place dies. bonus points awarded for manner in which it does: fire bombing? low sales? suspicious circumstances surrounding death?
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
It sounds like most of the stuff sold was of a personal nature, game jerseys, rings, awards, etc. OSU probably only audits the important/expensive gear: Helmets, shoulderpads, cleats.
All of the other stuff is cheap by comparison. Nobody cares about thigh pads.

But you line this up to the Cam situation, if the these players get suspended, I think the NCAA just be hatin' the Big 10
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
Oooooof course they get to play in the bowl. Gah.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
Hmmmmm...i guess we shall see how bad the NCAA hates the Big Ten
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
Why couldn't it be the last 5 games?
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:02 PM ^
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:02 PM ^
is of course a beneficiary of all this bs.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:03 PM ^
Do you go pro if you don't have a full season to improve your draft status???
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
Let's hope so.

I know the twitter accounts are accurate, but if people want to hear it from the horse's mouth, here's a link: http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=17300&ATCLID=205058857
"Mm, your tears are so yummy and sweet!"
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
Let me taste your tears of unfathomable sadness.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:04 PM ^
I would say smell you later and take my talents to the 5th round of the NFL draft.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
FIFTH ROUND. THAT'S LIKE... THE THIRD ROUND OF PICKING
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
For those wondering what the first 5 games are...
9/3: Akron
9/10: Toledo
9/17: at Miami (YTM)
9/24: Colorado
10/1: Michigan State
4 of 5 at home against teams that are weak and/or with new coaches. Not sure how State is supposed to be next year

The wording of the tOSU press release seemed to indicate that this came down from the NCAA.
So much for "internal investigation."

the Braxton Miller era at Ohio State.

pryor dominates selling stuff. if he was head of a pawn shop he'd dominate that too.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:10 PM ^
Those admission folks were making a big to-do about me needing to know how to write my name before I could come to OSU. Now I learn, I get real good at it, and I keep doing it and now they want to keep me from playing that football? Man....

December 23rd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
Is anyone else kind of outraged by this? Cam Newton is purchased for $180,000 and sees no suspension, and the whole SEC spends recruiting cycles ruining the lives of teenagers and sees no scrutiny. In the mean time, OSU players get some free ink and sell their personal rings (stupid by the way) and get crucified for it.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:26 PM ^
university presidents and regents are asking themselves the same thing? The NCAA does not have a charter from the greek god of colleges.
December 23rd, 2010 at 2:35 PM ^
While I take joy in osu's misery, I can't agree more with you. Not only is it known that Newton's dad tried to pimp him out and got away with it, but the NCAA took what seemed forever to put out contradicting statements. The NCAA seems to have moved Denard like fast on this decision.

Maybe when the giddy-ness wears off I will be able to see this situation in a logical way. Right now I only see justice, fairness and am further convinced there is a God.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
The 5 players get to play in the bowl game and are suspended for the cake walk games at the beginning of the season.
They complained that we were cheating.... we got in trouble for PRACTICE. We're talking about PRACTICE.. Not taking money, no felonies..PRACTICE.

Miami and MSU are two of those five games. MSU will NOT be a cakewalk regardless of what other Michigan fans say.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:24 PM ^
They did handled Miami pretty well this year and MSU is a home game. Only one of those games has any bearing on the Big 10 championship though. I just don't see how they can play in the bowl game. Makes no sense.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:33 PM ^
Someone brought up in another thread that the next game after MSU is at Nebraska. They may not be able to shake off the rust enough for that game, so there may be some residual effects (benefits for us).
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
questioned my status as a fan or my sanity, and made me laugh just by being themselves and quoting what they heard on the radio; Remember when I told you we the day would come when we would be able to laugh at tOSU for being blessed with Pryor?
I am happy to say none of that happened here. Of course, I was only reading then, not posting.
Yeah, I have posted this before. I will probably post it again. RR, you owe another silent prayer to the deity of your choice.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
i have absolutely no fucking clue what this means. is Timmy trapped in a well?
December 23rd, 2010 at 1:40 PM ^
This place could use a good dog to keep the sheep in line.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
Did he sign it Terrelle Pryor, QB - the University of Ohio State? Just curious.
Maybe he added, "Best spread quarterback not running a spread offense?"
Future undrafted free-agent signee of the Browns?
December 23rd, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
Something tells me TP won't be B10 preseason offensive player of the year for 2011 (and, once again, isn't gonna show up on any of those fancy year-end award lists either).
