Commentator: "Two of the best, classiest coaches...in Ferentz and Dantonio."
And as I was throwing up in my mouth (again):
Iowa TD.

What is the largest margin of loss ever recorded by a top-5 team?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:46 PM ^
USC-Oklahoma in 2004 comes to mind (55-19) but I don't have any idea what the definitive answer is.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
The first one I thought of was Michigan 28, OSU 0 in 1993; the second one I thought of was Michigan 34, Penn State 8 in 1997
October 30th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
USC 35
Ohio State 3
October 30th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
Obviously this isn't the answer to the original question but it was the first thing that popped into my mind
October 30th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
Maybe, but I like those better.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Michigan over ND in 2006. The Irish were ranked 2/3...
I realize there are other scores posted that are greater than this one, but I enjoy this one quite a bit.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
Especially this late in the season. Maybe a top 5 team has been blown out like this Week 1, but at this point in the season there is generally a reason why the team is in the Top 5.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
We were #5 when we lost "the horror" . Not by 37 however.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:01 PM ^
Not sure what their ranking was at the time but in 1997 Tesas lost 66-3 to UCLA in the second game of the seasonm
October 30th, 2010 at 5:45 PM ^
I figured Iowa would win a close one but ay this pointy MSU doesn't even look like they're trying. I wonder what Dantonio's tolerance level is for getting shut out?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
He has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to getting shut out. But that does not mean that it never happens.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:45 PM ^
One more little gem from RCMB "I just kicked my cat against the wall, I think its dead. i need more beer."
October 30th, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
Dantonio only has himself to blame for bringing in a distraction to his program.
P.S. I love America!
October 30th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
you are referring to Kirk Cousins' mom?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
Wow that guy got knocked back to Evanston
October 30th, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
to rename this thread, What is the record post count in the thread?
October 30th, 2010 at 6:16 PM ^
That was a brutal evening. I am proud of being a part of that meltdown though.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
1,273.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
Hahahahahaha. Karma baby!
October 30th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
and she is slapping the sh!t out of sparty now. Absolutely delightful to watch.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:57 PM ^
Karma must be related to John L Smith
October 30th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
I'm just surprised that Iowa is playing this well. Some of it is MSU shooting itself in the foot, but Iowa deserves credit for playing really well right now. It boggles my mind that this is the same team that lost to Arizona and Wiscy.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
Sparty is getting out played, out coached and out toughed. Heh.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
October 30th, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
And now the announcers are telling story of Kirk Cousins connections to Iowa complete with pictures. It might be rubbing it in but I still love it.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:54 PM ^
Narduzi is out of the box, careful, it didnt work out to well once dantonio came back down.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
They seem to play better with Dantonio having more distance from the program.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:54 PM ^
Please fake punt...
October 30th, 2010 at 5:56 PM ^
Do they have Bayer aspirin on stand by on the sideline for Dantonio. I hope they do just to be safe. He needs to be the coach at MSU for a long time
October 30th, 2010 at 5:59 PM ^
Not as funny as you might think.
Plus, he's 2-1 against Michigan. Just sayin'.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:58 PM ^
Michigan over Penn State Pumpkin
October 30th, 2010 at 5:57 PM ^
this game has become a duel of will and looks something like this
October 30th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Or like this:
October 30th, 2010 at 5:58 PM ^
How are they going to pick Scheelhaase as player of the week when Denard's game hasn't even kicked off yet?
October 30th, 2010 at 6:01 PM ^
Did I really just say "Pryor"? Sorry, typo.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
Mizzo making a come back.
Edit: Nevermind
October 30th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
Could these officials screw Tulsa any more today with the penalties?
October 30th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
The banner ad is telling me to buy Penn State clothing. I will not do so.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:03 PM ^
We are still the last team that shut them out. Yay!
October 30th, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
Damn you angry shutout hating god!!! Damn you to hell!
October 30th, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
So, who else is going to gamestop at midnight on Monday for the release of goldeneye for wii?
October 30th, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
Of course, they were probably already there, around 2:30 a.m. this morning
October 30th, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
I understand I sound like a dick for saying this but I wish MSU hadn't scored.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:10 PM ^
If that's sounding like a dick, then I will happily sound like one, too.
