is there any chance of him stepping down, ever?

Isn't Penn State famous for making some supposedly wonderful ice cream on campus?
Regardless, given their crappy injury situation and the situation with their ancient head coach and allegedly bickering staff, it makes it even more imperative for RR that we somehow manage to win this game. If PSU wins, the fallout will make the negative reaction to the MSU and Iowa games look like a birthday party for RR.

The university even offers the "Short Course," a three day seminar on how to make ice cream. I believe Ben and Jerry were in attendance at some point.

If I had to guess...I wouldn't want to be McGloin or Bolden. Either way they are going to get hammered.

If we manage to win by a single point it will be a notable achievement. The only people who are going to get hammered are the PSU and UM tailgaters.

Two reasons I want Paterno to stay as head coach. First, I've been watching him since the 80's when I was in high school. Second, if he's getting too old to coach, what am I getting too old to do?

for one

anyone want to buy a "slightly used" tux?

Would be nice to face a qb in Big10 play this year who actually makes some errors.

Stanzi tried to give us a Rick-Six, but Kovacs, ever the gentleman, politely refused.

At least you can understand him unlike Holtz who's gig is to actually speak. Gameday is unwatchable for me as I literally want to throw a shoe at my 50" plasma.

I am going to cackle with knowing glee if Kevin Newsome wins that competition.

Bolden was recently overheard saying, "If I had to make a guess, JoePa will be the coach."

....and all he has made the program into, he CAN'T be making too many big-time decisions right now.
As the program has been increasingly respectable the last few years again, his interviews show us an elderly man increasingly losing the ability to be coherant.
If I was a recruit I would really wonder about the future of the program. I would hope the staff reassures recruits that the Assistant and position coaches are really running things. Maybe there is even assurances that, if need be, there is a plan in place to replace him.
I do love the throwback stlye JoePa has fostered there. Basic unis and helmets, no names, no stickers, no logo. Hardnosed, fundamental football.
That being said, let's go out and plant another QB on the bench right next to Bolden. Go Blue!

JoePa can relate with this guy:

These Joe Pa putdowns on this thread are just flat out not funny and they are very disrespectful of a great coach who represents the Big 10 conference pretty well with the class he always shows. I love the guy. Keep trying to be funny people, you might want to pick a tougher target tho- we know, he's old. So what. He's also a great man. Our culture is messed up when being old is a bad thing. I know that's the state of our sad country, but seems it would be kept off of here.
