"Other than Denard" - hence, the lack of "love" on this thread.

Seems like those two have been all over the field.

GERG. Our D is still severely shorthanded and inexperienced, and he's put together a package to minimize the breaks at the cost of much bending. There is a TON of improvement that can be achieved on D, and if we couple that with RR finally solving Big 10 defenses with his offense, our team will finally be back. I really hope to see signs of this in the MSU game, because the world knows mirthless joker Dantonio eats and sleeps stopping RR's offense.

Definitely James Rogers and Mouton the Crouton

Mr Rodgers has been a shinning light (sofar). My only problem with Mouton...did he play the second half of the nl game? He disappeared the second half...

They make my list for less than obvious reasons. Not for rushing stats, obviously. However, they have delivered some terrific runs at the right times, laid down some crushing blocks to pick up the blitz or open a seam for Denard, they have not complained about the lack of touches, and they have held onto the GDB.

I will be the first one to admit that I was on the get Kovacs off the field wagon when the season started. Hell, I might be back there by the end of the season but as for now this kid deserves a bunch of credit.
He played an amazing game against ND and has developed into a pretty solid safety. He isn't the most talented kid but he is a hard worker and plays smart. He has also shown great leadership ability and been huge for the young guys out there.
To this point, his solid play is the biggest surprise to me.

has to be the guy for me. He has looked VERY good on the outside catching the ball and he has looked ever better blocking down field.

Dorrestein/Huyge. I knew the other three guys on the line were going to be stout, but these two have really filled out our o-line and the unit has been incredible in the first two games

He was a man without a position and they just tried him at cornerback, these first 2 games for him have been nothing short of a miracle. I was looking for razor blades when I found out T-Wolf went down and Rogers was starting.
