We fell to 2nd in Bobblethon - Get back to it
I apologize as I know some of you are sick of this (especially after the five posts yesterday) but after taking the lead in the Bobblethon yesterday (the winner of which receives $10,000 towards their University's scholarship funds) we have fallen to second behind Penn State.
Here's the link again http://www.bigtenicons.com/bobblethon/tap/
You all know the drill. You can click ten times per day through July 31.
Just think, once this is all over it will almost be football season and we can actually seriously consider Big Ten programs competing in something other than online advertising campaigns/fundraisers.
In the meantime, lets beat the Nittany Lions!!!!
Thank you for the reminder. Completed!
Quick, mods, delete this asap!
We better win this stupid Bobblethon when all is said and done, because I'm becoming more and more sure this thing is rigged every day.
We were up to 106% yesterday and after about 10 minutes of that, we shot down to 80%ish suddenly and Penn State was right on our heels again. By nightfall they were ahead on the meter again, and by this morning, they were ahead in the rankings again. They really ought to have a counter for the totals so we know that the PSU intern can't just yank a couple thousands taps from us.
Where does it say the percentage?
You don't always see it, but sometimes when the page with the meter is loading it will flash the percentage before loading the actual meter. If you really want to know the exact percentage, you just have to clock on the Michigan icon (Or whatever school you want to know the percentage for) over and over until it finally flashes it. It goes fast though, so you'll need to be ready for it. Using a slower browser helps (ie, not Chrome).
You're either making this up or you are way too into this whole contest.
I vote both. But thanks for the reminder.
Or you can look at the source code for the page, and it'll be listed under something that looks like:
value="icon_id=7&energy=83"
Just search for '%' and it'll come up.
If you select the image, then right click away from the image, you can "view selection source," and it will only show a couple lines of source code, making the percentage very easy to find. It works in Firefox, anyway. I don't know about other browsers.
If you will just go in and change the 83 to 100, then we can all go to the bar and have a beer.
I'm starting to think that this is like one of those hot dog races you see on the jumbotron of your local sports team. All 4 hot dogs pull out front at some point, and somebody comes from way down to win it all.
I think the votes count, but I bet the meters are indepedent of the votes to raise page views...
... at the United Center.
That happened about a week ago... We got into the red zone, I bobbled, refreshed the page, and BAM, back into the the mid-orange. However, we are maxed out right now and Charles Woodson's head is going so very quickly.
I did my civic duty today
Me too
ONWARD
then I ignored them. Then I read one and thought I need to do that. Today signed up
The persistence is noted and appreciated (eventually)
You dont need to sign up for anything.
For example,
I just voted as
First name : A
Last name: B

I just sent you an email. I am a Nigerian son of the Minister of the Treasury.
Woodson's getting great head today!
Keep it up.
Our arrow is off the charts and Penn State's is behind us and they still lead. Wish they would just list number votes for transparency.
For Penn State. Out of Spite. I know I'm not the only one at this point. Fuck the Bobblethon.
energy some people will put into things they dislike rather than just ignoring them....
...40 taps. 86% bobble energy vice 82% for Capilletti. We're still in second place, though.
So we were way in first yesterday, and have more activity today... and we're in second? Maybe this English major doesn't understand math, but I r confused,
