What is your favorite victory from the Harbaugh era?

I am going to go with the 2016 Capital One Bowl victory over Florida. Although many might say this was just a meaningless exhibition, I would argue against that.

41-7 over the SEC East champion, and paving the road for our future meeting versus the Gators this season. Harbaugh and staff had the team clicking on all cylinders in a very decisive blowout victory.

Although there may be more meaningful victories, this was by far my favorite game to watch,

My runners up

2015: Michigan 31 BYU 0

Michigan 38 Northwestern 0

2016: Michigan 14 Wisconsin 7

Michigan 49 Penn State 10

Michigan 78 Rutgers 0

Michigan 32 MSU 23

Foundation game that the nation and recruits watched play out over SEC East Champ with backup QB Iowa didn't think was good enough...cemented Harbaugh as QB guru at NCAA level (again) and put all my State friends on notice that the shit was about to get real and OSU fans that rivalry would be back. It was also crucial for southern recruits. 78-0 over Ash and the high school vandalizing douchebags was just flat out fun...especially in a bar in Pittsburgh before a "Stillers" game with a few PSU fans lamenting The Return. I don't like for my team to run up the score, but when they do, I prefer it to be a bunch of douchebags being put on notice that their antics have been deemed unacceptable (Rutgers, PSU, Houston Cougars back in the day.) FAVORITE game ever in Big House. Watching UM team THROTTLE #1 OSU 28-0 in the midst of mediocre season and not permit them to cross the 50 until 4th quarter...much better than kicking to mother&$@king Rocket Ismail...that was the opposite of my favorite game.

2015 vs Northwestern. After back to back shutouts NW came in undefeated and looked like the best team they had under Fitz. The opening return by Chesson set the tone for an absolute thrashing and 3 straight shutouts. I knew that we were back, and had no doubt we'd beat Sparty the following week. Damn Blake O'Neill.

2015 against Penn State. I put more stock into winning road games and while PSU wasn't very good that year, winning in Happy Valley is still difficult to do.

...replicating that during white out at Happy Valley won't be easy...I'd settle for ANY win in white out. Fans that don't understand what happened at Iowa last year are simply too young still to understand conference football...where more teams than not simply don't fear you, but LOOK FORWARD TO and salivate at the chance to ruin your season...our guys were the ones looking wide-eyed...it happens (see Alabama versus Ole Miss x 2, OSU v PSU white out, etc.)

1) Beating MSU and getting that monkey off our backs. First time in a decade where I saw Michigan being the aggressor in that game. Not the victim. 2) Beating the piss out of PSU. They deserved the humiliation.

the aggressor. That is significant due to many teams, going through a significant bad streak forget many of the things not in the stat sheet but absolutely necessary to win. And it was evident to me, and even the announcer commented during the first 5 minutes of his first game as our HC, "Michigan has improved greatly already." Capable players will do wonderful things when led by someone they believe in.

MSU was fun but we didn't beat the dog shit out of them like I wanted to see. Florida, losing by a TD in Baton Rogue, to in-state rival Fl. St and a two TD loss to Bama let us all know, despite their offensive woes they were a very solid defensive team.

It was significant to me because Jake had obviously healed from the Bosa hit and performed at the level he did as a result of one of the greatest coaching jobs I've ever seen. I've been a fan for years and really cannot recall a qb learning his role on his team on a week-to-week basis, with Harbaugh not allowing advancement to the next chapter until he had proven he had grasped all that was necessary to that point. My goodness, I believe he started the season using possibly less than half the field.

It did not bother me that we beat a team without an offensive pulse. We put so many points up that it would have taken a great offensive performance by any team to stay with us that day. To me, this was a glimpse into the future when we put a healthy qb behind center, playing at max efficiency. IMO, that was a snapshot of future M teams under Harbaugh and to make that statement in their final chance of his first season was the perfect ending to his innaugural campaign, while also serving as an excellent introduction to what future UM teams will look like, showcasing flashes of all three elements Harbaugh teams are known for: solid qb play, a strong rushing attack and excellent defense lead by the only man Harbaugh thought would be wise to keep around if he was willing to stay.

... breaking staee & Mork's back 2016 was the best win on a number of levels.

I still think - Halloween night, beating Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug on the goalline.

Form a F*cking Wall.

As a player? The two victories over the Bucknuts in 1985 and 1986 with the win over Miami (Fl.) in 1984 coming in third. As a coach? He hasn't delivered that big AH-HA signature win yet for me.

I picked that one because its arguably Harbaugh best win on the road as of now. Second most favorite stadium to silence after the Horseshoe. Interesting enough we have winning record at Happy Valley all-time, at 6 and 4, where as Ohio State seems to have problems winning there (although they are at .500 since Penn State joined the Big Ten which is still pretty remarkable for stadium you "struggle" at)

that UM was back on the national map as a power, and felt like a victory of good over evil. I don't assume the rest of the world read it that way, but to me it was immensely satisfying.

But I have to admit -- this year's Orange Bowl is up there for me because of the way the team fought back without its best player. All the seniors had every reason to mail it in after going down and losing Jake/Jabrill to injury, but they kept fighting and rallied for what should have been a win if we cover one kickoff return.

Last season, when we beat OSU in Columbus.

You know what I'm saying...

But really, my favorite win so far was the Penn State shutout as kind of a "we're back, bitches!" statement.

Even our painful losses, however, scream the message, "You know what's coming in a couple years" to our opponents. Especially MSU and OSU.

I would include the NCAA "losses" in their rulings against Harbaugh's strategies as legitimizing the fear of our competition, even in the SEC.

I love the Florida game, but we gotta beat MSU n OSU every year...We accomplished one last year, and this year we accomplish both at home...GoBlue!

2015 Penn State was a cool one, insomuch as we finally won in a hostile road environment (something we failed to do in 2016, because MSU was so terrible and that stadium was 1/3rd UM).

Florida bowl game and Wisconsin 2016 are the best from each respective season in my opinion.

We neeeeeedddddd to beat OSU.

Honestly, there truly hasn't been one (besides Flordia, but I did not watch that game as I was Skiiing down a giant hill....).  Not trying to be mean or pessimistic, but what game can be considered memorable??  PSU beat down before they hit their stride?  The MSU win?  I mean the Florida win was awesome, but I personally did not see it.

WE expecting to beat Utah, and MSU in ’15.  We certainly expected a better OSU game that year to.  In ’16 there wasn't a game I nor the majority of people on this site thought we’d lose.  But some how managed to lose 3 and never really command the MSU game.

Harbaugh has had a lot to deal with since coming to Michigan, so I am not judging, I am saying the great coaches of all time find ways to win games they aren't suppose to.  Harbaugh gets paid like royalty time to start winning like royalty.  These next 1-4 years will be really telling how GREAT of a coach he is.  We all see the day to day improvement, the 180 switch around of the program.  I and every other person on this board should expect Big Ten Champ to come down to the last day of the regular season every single year.  I expect Harbaugh to be on Par with Urban because he is paid like it.  It time to show up or shut up…..

1) You have to live with your bowl result till the next fall

2) We beat an SEC team decisively as an underdog

3) Offense and defense both played great

4) Got us to 10 wins which looks a lot better than 9.

5) As noted before me, it was an announcement to the world and to recruits that Michigan under Harbaugh is once again a force to be reckoned with.

No OSU win.

Had Michigan won against FSU, that would have been it but that didn't happen.

I hope Harbaugh's 3rd year is the year that the program takes that majore step by beating everyone and getting into the playoffs.

A good friend had passed away that morning and I just felt lost.

I needed us to win, I couldn't bear a Michigan loss with the news of that friends

death and that goal line stand just felt so strong to me.

As in, we will not be moved.

Maize wins by making a goal line stand on the last play, sideline storms field, commences dancing and carrying on.  Dancing and carrying on.  After an intrasquad scrimmage.  Who can't help but to be a fan after that?

The amount of improvement from the start of that season to that game was amazing.  They could have beaten nearly anyone with that team on that day.  It showed what we were going to look like in the future and showed once again that no one can coach up a QB as good as Harbaugh.
