OT - Fantasy Football Start 'em Sit'em
So I'm in the semi's of my playoffs and have the hard decision of whether or not to start Brady against the Broncos (#1 rated defense, have only allowed multiple TD's to signal callers 2x this year) or to play Rivers who is home against Oakland. I hate not play the GOAT as he seems to always find paydirt - even in these types of situations but having a hard time justifying playing him @ Denver as this is the worst possible matchup.
Thoughts? Need Start 'em, Sit'em advice? Post it here.

I'd trust Touchdown Tom, but who knows.
My question: Theo Riddick or Julian Edelman in the flex?
December 15th, 2016 at 2:10 PM ^
December 15th, 2016 at 4:54 PM ^
If Riddick was 100% I would role with Riddick, but he is banged up and still questionable. Even if he does go in the game, I would imagine that he gives up some time to Zenner and Washington who has played pretty good the last couple games. Edelman is playing Denver, but I have to assume he still sees 6 - 10 targets.

What is going on with Drew Brees the last couple of weeks?
December 15th, 2016 at 2:12 PM ^
Agreed. I have a tough decision to make. Drew Brees at ArizonaArizona or Jameis Winston at Dallas. I also picked up Kaepernick just in case. Any fantasy gurus feel free to chime in and help me make a decision. Thus far, I may wind up going with Kaep.
Also, AJ Green--Do you sit him or start him if he is a go?
Making matters worse, I will be in Australia, so it will be about 4:45 AM on a Monday when the inactives are named.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:23 PM ^
Ride or die with Brees. You drafted him so you can "set it, and forget it." You'd hate to lose because you played that fool Kaepernick over Brees, wouldn't you?
I'd hold off on Green. Hamstring injuries can get re-aggravated easily. He already gave you a zero the day he got hurt and you likely can't afford another. This is assuming you have another viable option.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:47 PM ^
That was what i was leaning towards. Luckily, my opponent is starting cooks and maybe Thomas.
Wrt receivers, I have some options in Landry, Marquise Lee, and Rishard Mathews. None are world beaters, but not slouches either.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:48 PM ^
I hear you, but Brees went from averaging over 20 points a week for the whole season to averaging 5.5 the last two weeks (in my league). I'm worried that he's got some sort of physical issue, but I haven't heard anything about that. Between him and Melvin Gordon's injury, my total domination is coming into question! Thank goodness I had a bye last week, because I stunk.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:06 PM ^
Should I start Terrelle Pryor or leave an empty WR slot? Tough choice.

Gabriel is Julio is out, otherwise I think I'd go with Tyreek. For the 14 team, I think I'd go with Rishard.

You dropped your players to the chaos of waivers so people still in the playoffs could grab them? If I were your commissioner you would be harshly reprimanded.

Rawls unless you believe in the Thursday curse. Murray has a good matchup also.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:14 PM ^
I would start Stafford and Rawls. The finger issue does scare me a bit with Stafford, but Brees has been pretty not good recently. Also, with Russel Wilson's issues last week, I see Rawls getting a whole bunch of carries. Plus the Seahawks tend to play better at home.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:19 PM ^
December 15th, 2016 at 2:28 PM ^
Brees (Stafford is going against a good D and has to learn how to work through this injury) and Murray...for whatever reason, he seems to be running well and earning a large amount of touches recently.

QB- Tom Brady or Dak Prescott?
RB McCoy, Crowell, J. Stewart (flex), Tevin Coleman?
WR- Julio Jones, E. Sanders, S. Diggs, D. Jackson?
December 15th, 2016 at 2:21 PM ^
December 15th, 2016 at 2:34 PM ^
Standard scoring ESPN league...
I'm torn. I like Diggs too and hes had some good games making it more difficult to decide. For me it comes down to Bradford or Simien..
December 15th, 2016 at 3:31 PM ^
I have similar choices on my team
Up to last week,I would have said Dak, but not so sure now. Was it a bad week or the rookie wall or the Giants D? I don't like Tom w/o Gronk vs. thr Denver D though either.
I'm going with Tevin Coleman. Atlanta will be up big and running the ball. For the same reason, I'm sitting Julio. Even if he plays, his snaps will be limited and they aren't going to be throwing a tonin the 2nd half.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:10 PM ^
I'm going with Brady because he has the higher basement, but Rivers might put up some big numbers this week with no Gordon and a weak Raiders defense.
My dilema: My two RB's are Matt Forte and Melvin Gordon...fml. Both my waiver claims were beaten out, so I got stuck picking up Forsett. I'm probably better off just not paying attention this weekend.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:21 PM ^
Yeah my entire offense has been Melvin Gordon this year, I managed to pick up Kenneth Farrow though so hopefully I'll get something out of him.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:55 PM ^
Forte is hurt

Is the guy who offers up advice for Fantasy Football the same guy who chimes in at the BlackJack table?
December 15th, 2016 at 2:13 PM ^
Trust your studs. That's the best advice I can give you.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:13 PM ^
Pick one (bold indicates how I'm leaning):
RB: Isaiah Crowell, Jerick McKinnon, Kenneth Dixon
WR: Michael Thomas (might not play), Brandin Cooks, Jordan Matthews
(Robby Anderson is available; he's been tearing it up since Bryce Petty got the QB nod.)
December 15th, 2016 at 2:17 PM ^
You're leaning where I would.
Please don't play Robby Anderson.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:26 PM ^
I personally would be tempted to play either Thomas (assuming he is ready to go) just becuase you would have to think that NO offense will blow up after a few lackluster weeks, but Matthews is certainly the safer play. AZ also has a solid defense, and Peterson will likely draw Cooks in coverage, which further solidifies your choice for Matthews IMO. Dixon is also the clear choice for your RB's. Good luck!
December 15th, 2016 at 2:16 PM ^
Start 2: Sammy Watkins, Julio Jones, Tyrell Williams, or Dontrelle Inman
Start 3: Leveon (duh), Rawls, Jeremy Hill, Mark Ingram, or Kenneth Farrow
December 15th, 2016 at 2:22 PM ^
I'd definitely start Rawls and Farrow this week.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:27 PM ^
I'm in the same boat, deciding between Ingram and Farrow. I'm leaning Farrow as of now, especially with Ingram still apparently banged up.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:30 PM ^
I am sitting Brady and going with Mariota this week. I think Brady has a 201 yards and a td game.
December 15th, 2016 at 2:31 PM ^
Odd format, but we start two defenses...
New England, Minnesota, NYJ
The Jets have been bad, but they're going against Matt Moore. Meanwhile, the Vikes get to deal with Andrew Luck.
Baldwin, Dixon, Ajayi as a flex in PPR?
December 15th, 2016 at 2:44 PM ^
I have too many guys that are all alike! It's causing me decision paralysis. Pick 4 (2 Rb's/2 WR's) from this group:
RUNNING BACKS
Gore
Ajayi
Gurley
R. Kelley (NTRK)
RECEIVERS
Tate
Devante Adams
Edelman
Tyreek Hill
December 15th, 2016 at 2:50 PM ^
You must have Brees or Rodgers to make the Semis with that bad of a team.
Anyway:
Gore/Ajayi
Tate/Edelman
December 15th, 2016 at 3:05 PM ^
I have Matt Ryan at QB, Mike Evans is locked into one WR slot, and Jimmy Graham at TE. I picked up and started Atlanta's defense last week to get me to this stage.
The age old adage of "Defense Wins Championships" may be true in fantasy as well?
Thanks for the advice!

RIVERS!!!! That game will be very high scoring. Denver - NE will be pretty low scoring.

Regardless of Julio's status, Gabriel is a good play. The 49ers are not very good.

I need help on what to do with Julio Jones. I am in a 20 team league so there are slim pickings at WR. I have Jeremy Kerley and just picked up Ty Montgomery. Any thoughts?
December 15th, 2016 at 3:31 PM ^
I also have Julio. Ty Montgomery is on my bench, I'm leaning with Montgomery especially since Starks got a concussion in a car accident.
December 15th, 2016 at 3:16 PM ^
I have to play 3 of the following:
Ty Montgomery @ Bears
Isaiah Crowell @ Bills
Kenneth Dixon vs. Eagles
Sterling Shepard vs. Lions
Marvin Jones @ Giants.
Donte Moncrief (Inj.) @ Vikings
It is a large rostered PPR league which I already have Rivers, Dalton, David Johnson, Cooks, and Demaryius locked in. Would love some advice.
December 15th, 2016 at 3:30 PM ^
Wowza.. Good luck..
Uh, You have to play Ty especially since Starks is in concussion protocol after a Monday car accident.
Never play a Brown. Can't trust committee Ravens RBs this year. Moncrief probably isn't going to play.
So Shepard and Jones.
