Pipkins watch - 5 tackles and game ball in Texas Tech opener
If you are like me then you liked Ondre Pipkins. I remember his Hoke impression as a rising freshman and his series of injuries leading up to his departure. The good news is he is alive and well. This is the best I could come up with for a summary but thought I would share.
Welcome to Lubbock, Ondre Pipkins and Kolin Hill. The newcomers imposed their will on the game early and set the tone for the first team defense. The Lumberjacks only managed 58 yards on the ground in large part due to Pipkins and sophomore Breiden Fehoko clogging up everything between the tackles. Better technique at the point of contact and pursuit were key improvements all around.
I would like to see one of his games this year at some point. If anyone else has insight I would like to hear it. There is some paid content at 247 of which I am not privy.

Then that huge smile to the camera gave him away.
(He definitely looks slimmer and healthier. Wonder if his torso is all taped up to give more protection to his spine.)

Are you a dual Texas Tech and Michigan fan? If not, why do you have an account here? Not trolling, just genuinely curious why non-Michigan fans make accounts here (of the non troll variety) and actually participate in commentnig. I can somewhat understand the OSU posters for obvious reasons, but Texas Tech? Is everybody obsessed with Michigan?

I grew up in Georgia, but my family was from Michigan so I picked up that fandom growing up. Went to Georgia for my undergrad, and Texas Tech for my masters. Currently at RPI for a PhD.
I've picked up a variety of fandoms along the way, and I love having three teams to cheer for on Saturdays, along with three seperate cultures to participate in (one from family, two that I earned). RPI hockey is a nice addition too. Texas Tech football will always have a special place in my heart that's difficult to explain to anyone who hasn't lived it.
Either way, I made this account when I lived in Lubbock, hence the name. I've been lurking here for a long time.

Next time I'm at an RPI yell at me.
I'm the only one wearing the M hockey sweater - hard to miss

May head down for the McGill Exhib game, not sure if the OSU series is doable for me.

Very happy for him. Sad it didn't work out here, but glad to see he's physically able to perform.

eerily similair to Pipkens. After TOSU doctors deemed him a medical risk, he got a 2nd opinion and transferred to Auburn. TOSU signed another DB right before signing day as Dean was a early enrollee.Unfortunately he blew out his other knee as he was pegged as Auburns nickle back or 5th DB if you will.
Just like Pipkins there is more to the story.Dean had surgery on his knee his junior year rehabbed and played part of his senior year i believe. he chose to play in a HS all star game and reinjured his knee. I think TOSU staff had no idea he chose to play in the all star game and I think this pissed Meyer off. had he asked the staff if he could participate I'm sure they would have advised not to.
Recently Cam Burrows injured his foot and is said to be out for the year. He was listed as a back up to safety's Malik Hooker and Damon Webb. Yet he was not going to be the 5th DB. That would be Damon Arnett or Marshon Lattimer. He would have mainly seen time on special teams. Sounds like the staff is unwilling to grant his 5th year as he was passed over 2 years ago by younger players.
