Mens Basketball hosting Virginia Tech in B1G/ACC challenge
A home game?? It seems like we play on the road every year for this challenge.
I guess with the sesons we have had the last two years in makes sense, but I would have rather had a better opponent
They haven't made the tournament in 9 years and haven't come close to winning their conference in ages.
The have 4 total tournament wins in the last 40 years.
At least Virginia Tech knows how to catch punt snaps.
I agree with you that the criticism of the basketball team is usually too harsh. However, the comparison to the punt is dumb. When people are critical of the basketball team it’s over a whole seasons worth of work and when you are critical of the football team it was one play.
Okay we looked like garbage against Utah, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio State as well.
23 years between games?
C'mon man!

Like against Ohio State in football?
never going to happen, I made sure of that the day I got my diploma from carolina in 2003 apparently.
When Michigan and UNC have "equal" years, they will meet in the next season's challenge.

Road games at UCLA and Cincinnati next year.

Virginia Tech has improved a lot.
They're still not good, but they have a new, young coach and he has brought some life into their program. I would look for them to make the tournament sometime in the next 3 or 4 years.

If anything that's worse. UCLA is bad, VT is bad, Pitt, Marquette, and Cincinnati are mediocre at best. The only good team in that group is SMU.

This isn't our choice.

LAME
So let me guess, msu will play Boston College.
Instead of at Duke or at North Carolina which they continue to avoid.
Duke/UNC four times in the last five regular seasons. Don't need the challenge to create those matchups.

Yeah, I just noticed they went 10-8 in the ACC last year. What the hell? That's about the quietest winning season in the ACC I can remember.
I don't know if it's due to 15 teams and a completely unbalanced schedule but there were only 5 teams in the ACC that didn't finish .500 or better in conference play (BC, Wake, GT, NC State and FSU).
Boring matchup
Is it just me or does MSU play Duke/Kansas every year
They have two championships in their history, well behind Indiana. I would have to believe Indiana would make more sense to include.
only has 3 national titles in their history.
Maybe, but I'd Beilein if I said I don't think there will be a decent amount of Buzz about this game.
