Louisville is bad, bad, bad. Dumbest job choice he could have made.
December 4th, 2008 at 9:33 PM ^
I don't think he had a lot of options did he?
December 4th, 2008 at 9:39 PM ^
He still had a full year's salary from UofM. He could have waited a year.

True, I forgot that. But still, he wasn't that hot of a commodity so who knows if a gig like Louisville (BCS Conf, not team talent) would have shown up soon.
December 4th, 2008 at 9:37 PM ^
USC, Florida and Oklahoma ALL wanted him. At the same time. He's that good.
December 4th, 2008 at 10:43 PM ^
He's the ND of coaches. Anyone would fire their current coach to get him.
December 4th, 2008 at 9:42 PM ^
Wasn't he offered the NIU job?
December 4th, 2008 at 9:50 PM ^
i can't believe Lville gave up 49 points in the first half.
December 4th, 2008 at 9:55 PM ^
Apparently Ron got into with Schiano in the tunnel about running up the score.
Its the first off the God's sake they can score as much as they want!
December 4th, 2008 at 10:03 PM ^
Did Schiano proceed to beat his ass like he did to Ron's D?
December 4th, 2008 at 9:59 PM ^
If you don't want to give up 50 in the first half, play some fucking defense.
December 4th, 2008 at 10:00 PM ^
I turned the game off after an offsides on the 1 yard line followed by a 44 yard pass from the 6 eventually leading to a 22 yard pass to put them in scoring range. It reminded me of our season and made me figure out why we lost the worst 4 games of Michigan history in a row.

Man I wish we didn't fire English for Shafer...
December 4th, 2008 at 11:22 PM ^
Did English really turn down jobs at USC Florida and Oklahoma??? REALLY? WTF!
December 4th, 2008 at 11:30 PM ^
heard of that, i don't know where you're getting that from but none of those teams wanted him as DC. USC has pete carroll as DC, UF's guy is pretty good and they hired vance bedford to come in and coach the DBs. texas hired muschamp who is widely considered better than ron "my defense gave up 34 points to appy state" english

Your sarcasm meter is on the fritz, buddy.

I don't think anybody was exactly beating down the doors at Stanford to snatch up Scott Schafer; except Rich Rod, of course.
