OT: Sling TV Beta Multi-Stream (FSD)
Cord cutters:
I see that Sling TV is now offering Fox Sports Detroit (and other regional Fox Sports channels) as part of its new Beta Multi-Stream service. The price is the same as the traditional single stream service, but without Disney channels.
I am wondering if this is finally a way to get, cheap, legal broadcasts of Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings games? (Is this going to work easily or is there some catch?)
If this works then I may never go back to cable. I'll just force myself to the bar for the 3 or so crappy Michigan football games on Big Ten Network.
Anyone try it out?
EDIT: I see that "Disney channels" includes the ESPN channels and not just Disney, Disney Jr., etc. That changes things.

That is what I meant. No one can convince me that UNLV or Delaware State v. Michigan isnt a crappy match-up.

crappy scheduling by crappy AD's, crappy coverage by BTN. Unfortunately, even sometimes crappy outcomes of games.
But there's still no such thing as a "crappy Michigan football game".
No wait, we won that one. Crappy ones to me are the ones we lost.

Hmm...switching out ESPN for Fox sports....seems logical if youre a huge baseball guy. No BTN is still an issue for me though.

So, "Disney channels" referred to ESPN as well. Crap.

Once that solution is worked into a comparable streaming option, I'll happily make he move.

As others have already mentioned. PS Vue is the best value out there for streaming service. It has ESPN, BTN and FS Detroit.
I cut my cable last month. I love it.
best part... No contract.
if I wasn't so invested with my TiVos, I'd probably do this. You can ahem, *find*, pretty much everything else online.
Only thing I might miss would be the travel/cooking channels, but there's so much of that available on YouTube now.
I am currently using this package. It works pretty well. I've watched both the Tigers and Red Wings with no problems. I plan on keeping this package for the summer and then switching back to ESPN during football season.
