Another way too early CFB 2016 top ten

Submitted by MgoBlueprint on

Dennis Dodd of CBS sports put together his Way too early top 10 list.

http://www.cbssports.com/video/player/collegefootball/599509571551/0/wa…

1. Clemson

2. Bama

3. OU

4. LSU

5. osu

6. Michigan

7. Baylor

8. Notre Dame

9. Michigan state

10. Houston

I really think that sparty and bama end up atleast 3-5 spots lower. Clemson returns a good bit of talent, but largely benefit from a weak conference slate which will allow them to sneak into the playoffs. I think the winner of the game this year will be the number one seed in the playoffs. Houston could be the new Boise. The Big 12 is the same ol' Big 12 and will probably be left out. In the ACC, I see the winner of Notre Dame-Clemson making the playoffs with FSU playing spoiler in some way.

So why not throw a prediction at the wall and see if it sticks. Im going with Michigan going 11-1, beating both ohio st. and Sparty on the road and losing to either Iowa or Wisconsin. I would go with 12-0, but I have to be realistic. /s

People are underestimating O'korn on this blog. Look back at his freshman year stats- they compare favorably to most big 10 qbs this year. He has one of the best returning receiving trios in nation. He has had a year to soak up the system and take reps in practice under harbaughs watch. Honestly, who in the big 10 (other than jt) has done more than him or would you rather have next year? Maybe Iowa's qb?

So in the same post you state that Bama will be 3-5 spots lower than their #2 ranking then say that if they win they will be the #1 seed? What in the hell does that mean? And what does tonight's result have to do with the top 4 rankings in 11 months? This is just garbage in and garbage our content, with all due respect. Go Blue.

UM is going to be somewhere between 6 and 12 in every preseason poll the next 7 months and we'll have the same discussions about how OSU and MSU are way overrated and blah blah.and how we are too low (in any poll that has us not better than #7) because of (insert all the reasons we are awesome).

Hard for me to peg us as a top 10 team, for now, w/o having a QB.

I know Harbaugh will have that position rockin' and a rollin' by year's end, but it's still a bit of an unknown right now.

Luckily, whoever the QB is will have proven weapons out wide, an All American TE, a veteran OL, and a reliable group of RBs to lean on in the beginning of the season. And he'll have 3-4 games to get his feet wet before a real opponent comes to town.

Way too high for Michigan. No returning starter at QB and too many tough road games. Most likely at least 3 losses.

?

So teams should be ranked not by ability but by game location?

The schedule is actually pretty inviting. Lots of time for a new QB to get comfortable before the tough games. Also, remember: You don't have to go undefeated to make the playoff. Three of the four playoff teams both years had a loss (including the B1G champ both times). A 12-1 Michigan team that beats OSU would absolutely be in the playoff.

I just want to see Michigan in this damn game next year...while they are very good, I am sick of watching Alabama in these games. Go Blue. Do not be deceived.
