Jean Delance Names Top 3
Jean Delance names his top 3, via his Twitter. They are: UM, LSU, and Texas
Seems we may be in good shape. Texas might be there just as the hometown team. He plans to announce Jan 2nd at the UAAA game.

I just don't see why any legit talent would go to Texas until they hire Herman next year.
December 21st, 2015 at 5:54 PM ^
Because he is a Texas kid...
December 21st, 2015 at 6:03 PM ^
So you don't see why any legit talent would've went to Michigan in 2013 or 2014?
December 21st, 2015 at 6:11 PM ^
After the BWW loss, I would have dropped UM below some others schools, just because that looked like a program with no direction. Hate to say it, but Sparty and OSU looked like more attractive destinations in the conference.

Correct.

By the time Dashawn Hand stiffed us for Alabama while guys like George Campbell were decommitting and changing the locks on their doors, I think the writing was on the wall, and most Michigan fans had grudgingly accepted that Hoke had at best plateaued, and at worst begun his death spiral.
When Hand chose against Michigan I was disappointed and accepted that he probably made, for him, the right decision.
And that is how it played out.

We know that now, but all he could see then was a smoldering dumpster fire. Harbaugh was successfully coaching a Super Bowl contender. Dave Brandon was Michigan's AD. Fans were turning in their season tickets.
To someone in Hand's position, Michigan could just as easily have fired Hoke for someone like Greg Schiano or an unknown coordinator. Alabama offered him practically guaranteed stability, team success, pro scout attention, and energized fans.* It was a sure thing.
*And other, more tangible incentives too? No way to know.

according to who?
December 21st, 2015 at 6:16 PM ^
The road. Duh.
December 21st, 2015 at 6:28 PM ^
But once the road knows, everyone knows.
December 21st, 2015 at 6:56 PM ^
Yeah, the road is usually the last to know. The street always seems to get the word first.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

That's very deep for a 'crootin post.
Then again Baa Baa Black Sheep is deep for a 'crootin post.
December 21st, 2015 at 7:13 PM ^
Baa Baa Black Sheep is a protest song, rallying the public against the wool taxes imposed by Edward I in late 13th-century England. So yeah, deep for a 'crootin post.
And no politics.
December 21st, 2015 at 7:48 PM ^
Edward I at least had a successful foreign policy record to secure his position; his son, Edward II, was rather more Brady Hoke-ish in his odd style and complete inability to execute on the field. He was eventually ousted (and allegedly, gruesomely offed) by a coalition rallied around his own mother. Alas, her moves (supervised by a DB-type adviser) became unpopular and unsustainable.
Then Edward III "Harbaugh" Plantagenet came of age, played nice with his late father's legacy, and established himself as one of the longest-reigning monarchs in English history, the platonic ideal of a medieval King. He revolutionized the English playbook by relying heavily on the Longbow, leading to huge upset victories at Crecy and Poitiers over his chief rival to the South, France. He was a solid recruiter with a leadership tree that included the all-too-briefly-lived Edward the Don Brown Prince and the wily John "Drevno" Gaunt.

Well Harbaugh's seat is hot, but only because he constantly vibrates at about 30kHz.
December 21st, 2015 at 9:11 PM ^
you mean it is hot because now with doc (don) brown it generates 1.21 gigawatts of power!!!

Not getting attention of Nauta due to position but potential #77 LTs should. Think Lorenz said he could crystal ball him to either LSU or UM during past week so might be our top competition.
Also tweeted "see you soon" on his way out post official visit last week... hmmm
Daily swim lanes!

Alum96 Thanks for your summary. Always appreciate your work on this and it sure has been an interesting and enjoyable recruting season. Have a good feeling about how this is all going to end up and am thinking about taking a day off on signing day to properly enjoy and celebrate Coach Harbaugh's first full recruiting class for Michigan.

... for the Bayou. Needs a couple extra surnames, but it's pretty region appropriate.

The picture tells all. He's walking over Texas - they're a downtrodden program. LSU is behind him. Michigan is what lies ahead.

Hope this time it is different.

Gary is also Blue.
Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Barry Sander, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice would also be Blue if they had any eligibility left. It's so obvious....Harbaugh!

And I only want Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson. Can't dislocate a hip in a late-80s video game.
