Peppers wins B1G Freshman of the Year; Peppers & Lewis named First Team All-B1G
This tone-deaf conference is announcing HALF of their all-conference teams and award winners today.
Peppers named the B1G Thompson-Randel El Freshman of the Year.
Peppers and Lewis named first team all-B1G.
The armpunt catchist is named DB of the year.

Nice insights, I agree. Wilson did get one honorable mention. But Willie Henry and the lack of Glasgow is appaling.

not a good year for Michigan DL to be hoping that they get all B1G. The DL are individually better than Michigan DL.

Rudock should be 3rd team (Cook & Sudfeld ahead of him)
Darboh and Chesson 3rd team/honorable mention
Jake Butt 1st team

I would think Beathard would make it ahead of Rudock. He certainly didn't light it up but he always made the right decision.

I was thinking toss-up between the two of them to be honest. Rudock has had a great season, but CJ is undefeated and doesn't make mistakes.

cograts to them both

How do they count Peppers as a freshman when he played last year? Serious question.
November 30th, 2015 at 7:37 PM ^
He is a red shirt Freshman. He recieved a medical red shirt from last season.
November 30th, 2015 at 7:40 PM ^
You have to apply for a medical redshirt
Ok I see your post below, I didnt realize he already applied for it.

Just posted a link to the story on MLive that explains it.

The Big 10 was absolutely loaded on the DL this year. When a guy like Zettel doesnt even get 1st team. Next year will be more of a UM flavor on the DL as a lot of these guys graduate. Nebraska has a few nice DTs too- not sure their eligibility.
Ngakoue just declared for the draft. I think McDowell and a few UM players will be 1st team next year on the DL esp DT - potentially Johnson from PSU as well if he doesn't go pro (he is still deciding apparently)

LBs unfortunately we will be shut out of. But Peppers and Lewis should be 1st team next year on DBs.

It's just empty because neither the coaches nor the media felt anyone was worthy.
It'll go vacant until we fire everyone and rehire our refs.
I'm not joking...we truly should start from scratch. Why not be the leaders and the best in this area? Pouch the best from around the country, rehire some, don't rehire others...get some top HS guys, whoever fits the bill. Just get better, a LOT better.
I truly think our refs were the worst in the P5 this year and I'm not joking. It wasn't always like that...all refs blow calls, but not like the B1G this year.
I'd look out to the Pac-12, I watched a good amount of Pac-12 ball this year and don't remember myself going "that's horrible" too many times. I could be wrong, but the Pac-12 and ACC seemed to be decent from what I recall. I do remember some big mistakes in games I watched in the SEC and Big 12...but still nothing like the B1G.

Even with Dline being stacked, neither Henry or Glasgow getting at least 3rd team is criminal
Peppers 1st team surprised me (would have guessed 3rd) and the fact that Wilson didn't get 3rd team is annoying but understandable (boring safety is boring).
edited: seeing Wilson as a 2nd teamer may be a little Wolverine bias on my part

or was receiver position restricted to wideouts only? Haven't seen the entire list of All BIG but did not see his name on the rivals release.

He did. He won a postgraduate award. He won the humanitarian one last year.

When you say armpunt catchist, who are you talking about? Cute, but I am confused when you use a vague nickname like that.

Also Peppers got 2nd-team as a Return Specialist and Wormley got 3rd-team. Why do we only care about 1st-team?
Edit: was looking at the coaches' ballot. Still counts I guess. And Kenny Allen got 3rd team in the coaches so I guess my point still stands. It's an actual question: do we not care?
