Michigan-LSU Citrus Bowl under strong consideration
I'd MUCH rather play Florida. They're down 4 defensive linemen and their less-than-brilliant offensive coordinator got shut out yesterday against Florida State.

LSU would run through us worse than OSU just did.

He just broke the school's single-season record for rushing yards and ran for 159 on 32 carries.
A dip? He had one bad game versus Bama and one average game versus Arkansas...that's it. The man rushed for 150+ in all but 3 games this year (and they lost all 3).
November 29th, 2015 at 12:47 PM ^
They lost because no one respects their QB. Just sell out to stop the run. Their QB sucks.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:38 PM ^
November 29th, 2015 at 1:40 PM ^
They don't have a dual threat QB to account for. It will all be selling out on one man.
November 29th, 2015 at 2:23 PM ^
Yea like Jordan Howard!
November 29th, 2015 at 2:34 PM ^
No, Nate Sudfeld is a very good quarterback, Michigan couldn't just sell out every play. Brandon Harris is nowhere near as good, to put it lightly. I really don't understand how LSU doesn't have anyone better.
November 29th, 2015 at 4:17 PM ^
What a dumb comment. Did you forget that Sudfeld is a great QB?

Load the box and be willing to play 4 true DL and 3 LBs!!

LSU has scored 54 points in the last four games. I wouldn't be too worried about their offense.

Bolden
November 29th, 2015 at 12:39 PM ^
Correction, 66 points, and yes Bolden would be awful, but if other teams can withstand a lot of yards by Fournette, so can we. The LSU offense as a whole is still pretty mediocre.

Much rather get LSU, Florida or Miss State over Ole Miss right now.

Zeke/Barret are much better and more dangerous than Fournette/Harris. LSU does not scare me. No SEC team scares me other than Bama. We will do just fine against the SEC in a bowl game.
November 29th, 2015 at 12:27 PM ^
The Citrus Bowl rep must be a LSU fan then. Fournette would destroy our defense.
November 29th, 2015 at 12:27 PM ^
Fournette is still a monster and would cut into us BADLY. I'll pass.

Except LSU doesn't run tempo and/or option. We can stop pro-style running teams with elite RB's - PSU (with Saquon Barkley - high 4 star stud). LSU has a much better OLine, but hopefully we can get Glasgow back by then.
November 29th, 2015 at 2:02 PM ^
If we have Glasgow, I love our chances. Minus him and I'm not sure we could stop them.
November 29th, 2015 at 2:25 PM ^
Fournette is on a different planet from Barkley. Fournette is a better running back than Howard, Barkley or Elliot. Fournette is a RB who could go in the top 15. The rest of those guys will be second or third rounders in the NFL at best.

There is absolutely zero percent chance that happens. See me after the draft.

What kind of excuse is ''we were worn out''?
Wouldn't OSU be worn out too since MSU punched them in the mouth last week?
We don't suck...but we're not good enough to play LSU with our defense and Rudock unknown.

November 29th, 2015 at 4:20 PM ^
It was wayyyyy more than a slip up. It was we're gonna run the ball every play and you can't do anything about it. This wasn't just some game...it was kind of a big game and we didn't show up at all.
We have no running game and now with so many DL injuries we have no rush defense. We would not fare well againt LSU.

I don't know how others are feeling, but I'm feeling like we're 9-3 and ready to put the damn work in to get another win to cap off this year. I can't wait until we recruit some monsters of our own so we can stomp on OSU.
November 29th, 2015 at 12:38 PM ^
I was watching the Stanford and Notre Dame game last night and I couldn't help but think that even though we're 9-3, we don't look half as intimidating as those two teams. I love Michigan but we definitely need more playmakers and obviously Harbaugh knows that as well. Its amazing what he has done with what Harbaugh got. Now its turn to recruit and develop players and turn this team into a monster. The future is bright!

9-3 in the big ten doesn't mean the same thing that it did in the 90s and early 2000s. 9-3 means you beat rutgers and maryland instead of iowa and wisconsin. It means that, out of 12 games, in the 4 games against good teams, you went 1-3. When one of those losses is a blow out, it means that record is even less impressive.
9-3 means that you know how to close games against teams you should beat, but that you still have a huge talent gap relative to elite opponents.

MSU was missing way more than 1.5 guys against us. They're a lot more healthy now and they showed it against Penn State. They have more talent.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:00 PM ^
perspective. when we smashed northwestern 38-0 and stanford had lost to them a few weeks prior, I don't think you would be saying this.
no one looks intimidating coming off a blow out loss.
