Refs can't do math, apparently. Fifteen yard penalty from the 16, marked at the 29.
B1G!

And truthfully, Les has lost it, IMO...now he's still good for 9 wins off of top assistant coaches and his reputation, but I wouldn't hire him.
So LSU may be in a better position than some others because someone can take that talent and make it better.
That said, Texas gets plenty of talent too...the only difference is LSU today hasn't fallen like Texas had/has.
It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I'd like to see Miles on Gameday during Championship Weekend (in two weeks) and see if he's any good. Spurrier SUCKED.

A muffed punt is considered the same thing as hitting a member of the kicking team.
So if I punt and your returner runs away, but my shit punt goes off one of my players who isn't paying attention and you recover. You can't advance it.
However, if I punt, you catch, run, and fumble...then I can advance the fumble recovery.

There's a metric for "in game control?"
Where can I see such a list?

I understand your point, but there are no sure fire hires for schools like Illinois and Maryland.

Gets suspended for a quarter (so stupid) and then fumbles in the 2nd quarter.
Fitting for all parties.

Ug there was a friggin torpedo hit
November 27th, 2015 at 4:59 PM ^
Holy hell that's an awful hit. How are they not both concussed?
November 27th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
Iowa kid may be...the Nebraska kid looks like he glanced off on the H2H hit...but he may be trying to not show any symptoms to stay in the game
November 27th, 2015 at 5:02 PM ^
...but in the head and the receiver was defenseless.
It's got to be called, but I don't know what you can honestly do differently. He moved his head out the way and turned and hit him with his back.
All he could do was just let him catch it and jump over him. That's a tough spot for the defender. But in today's game, I don't see how you don't call it targeting.
November 27th, 2015 at 5:06 PM ^
He hit him with his back? In what universe? It was helmet-to-helmet...
November 27th, 2015 at 5:47 PM ^
shoulder...I'm going to say you're full of shit, lol. You're just mad about Corso.
November 27th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
But honestly...what are you supposed to do if you're the DB?
He hit him with his back.
Do you just have to let him catch it?
November 27th, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
Obviously I hope I Iowa kid is okay, but what a stupid penalty/rule
November 27th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
I don't even think the helmets touched.
In the replay he hit him with his back. But like I said before, it was a hit above the shoulders and the receiver was defenseless. But what do you do if you're the defender? He could've REALLY blown him up and he adjusted his body that he back/shoulder got him instead of the helmet.
Do you just try to push him into the ground and hope the ground knocks the ball free? I mean, I honestly don't know. I'd like to hear an explanation from an official on the proper way to defend that play.
November 27th, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
sucks that has to be called. Really nothing the D guy could do about it but it was as helmet to helmet as it gets
November 27th, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
What is he supposed to do, let him catch it? I know it was a vicious hit, but it looked like he did the only thing he could do besides letting him catch it.
November 27th, 2015 at 5:02 PM ^
to give up the catch in such a situation. Better that than to hurt themselves or another player.

November 27th, 2015 at 5:05 PM ^
Have to place blame on the QB there...led the WR into the hit. There was nothing the DB could do on that one except to concede the catch and first down.
