Cloudy here in Evanston but the clouds parted for about five minutes. It was definitely a blood moon. I think this is the only time I've ever seen the moon's dimension. Very sci fi/Star Wars looking.

That's just the next time there's a lunar eclipse at perigee (so a few % larger in appearance). Lunar eclipses aren't really that rare.

It would have been a marketing coup for Brandon. He could have charged everyone extra to look at the moon.

In Ann Arbor, the clouds keep coming and going, but it was clear when the eclipse became total.

It was perfect here in Indianapolis for about 40 minutes. Then the clouds moved in. Did have about 15 min of total eclipse though.

Spotty high clouds are moving through Romulus at the moment, but the trend is towards less coverage, which is nice because we're about to see the peak if I am not mistaken. Getting some great photos in between the clouds.
Very, very cool. I wish more people on my street were out here appreciating this, but then I remember that I have a neighbor that plays Johnny Cash really loudly at inappropriate hours and I get the impression that I might be one of the brave few on the street.

Can't be seen from the beach in Chicago. Saw a little sliver through the clouds at one point, and decided enough was enough and walked home.
