BTN Game Broadcast

Submitted by ElBictors on
The quality of this broadcast is simply amateur. Three plays in the first half where the camera and Director calling the shots completely blew it. I'm not a fan of ESPN 95% of the time but the game telecasts are great. You'd think after all these years the BTN wouldn't be such a hack job and so poorly executed. Lame

...it's been like this since the BTN started. It's total amateur hour. Always has been, always will be. At the end of the day, it's a marginal sports network based out of an office off the freeway in Chicagoland. If there wasn't so much money guaranteed to all involved, maybe they'd give a shit.

I had been thinking they were in Oakbrook, but they have their own building in Rosemont nestled in with everything else around O'Hare.

Maybe it's growing up in the area, but I really can't look down on them for their office address. There are a lot of really solid businesses with offices/headquarters in Rosemont, Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows, ect.

ESPN better be pros at broadcasting college football, they are all in on the sport.  I love it actually.  WatchESPN has your choice of 5 games right now. 4 of which feature top 25 teams.

This is only marginally better than when they try to save money broadcasting hockey games by having the broadcasters do the game via monitors in the studio instead of actually being in the arena.

jesus christ, this static is killing me at the moment.

there's four of us watching in the living room. we have the volume at about 10%.. gameday its usually around 60%. It was killing our ears with it at normal level.. so jarring.

I recommend everyone go to btn.com and send feedback either through the support form on the site or through their contact email. At least make them read emails from a few hundred pissed off Michigan fans.

This has been absolutely atrocious. The producer should be fired, and the color guy sucks balls. Cameraman is incompetent. Oh, and I think I'm sending them a bill for their distorted audio destroying my speakers

Agreed. Not only that but the commentators have incorrectly been mistaking several occurrences on the field. To make matters worse I'm getting static every 10 seconds (not during commercials though).

Is Michigan's best play of the day, the power sweep?  I wasn't sure... they've only mentioned it about 5 times so far today.. I'm still unsure though.  Thoughts?

And now they say "this is Michigan Football under Jim Harbaugh... 3 touchdowns..."

Um, guys, we scored four touchdowns. My god, how awful can you be at your job?

Also, BTN; spend some of those mountains of cash that you have accumulated, and use it to produce a quality broadcast when covering Big Boy Football mmmkay?

And terrible audio. Even for BTN today was bad. Not to mention the fact I had to hear Chuck Long the entire game.
