FINAL prediction thread 2015

Submitted by Bo's Hat 41 on
Make your absolute final, unabashedly honest prediciton a for the 2015 season. This has been done a lot, but this one will be the official that we can judge our predicting abilities off of at the end of the season. In depth predictions appreciated, game by game with scores and justification. I can't make a prediction because it's inevitable that I will pick us to win every game. For the next 15 years.

I'd really like to predict after Thursdays game. I'll say 9-3 or 10-2, with a win over MSU, a loss to OSU and some random team we should have beat on paper. With competent O-line and QB play, this should have been the mark for the last two seasons. There is talent on this team, hopefully this year it will shine.

Our schedule is fairly easy, No Wisconsin, no Nebraska and our third toughest team is a toss up between Utah and Minnesotta....... Come on, seriously name the 5-6 teams that should beat a competent Michigan squad on this schedule.

9-3, losses to Utah, MSU, OSU.  I know, that's pretty much chalk.  But until we see what happens on the field tomorrow night,  we're as clueless as we've been since 2011.

8-4 otherwise.

I think we'll win vs. Minny, though.  Harbaugh lost the LBJ his senior year and I think he'll have the team plenty fired up to win it back on Oct. 31.  He wants it back.  It's going to take the team some time to hit their stride, so things may be a bit up and down the first half of the season.

I hope I'm completely wrong and the Harbaugh factor pushes the team to 10 or more wins.

I really don't think we lose to minnie of penn state, I think we are a level above them...not that has stopped us from losing to teams before but I think a realistic expectation for this season is 9-3. We have a rs senoir experienced qb, a stable of rbs, a improved o-line, and a solid defense....and what should be a improved special team unit.

I'm terrible at this game - mostly because my heart believes one thing, but my mind knows how cruel the football Gods can be...

We play a close 3 quarters against Utah and then special teams gets a turnover, thus sealing a Michigan W.

With the rust off and confidence high Michigan runs the table through the off week - with the only real challenge coming from Sparty. But, that was in the Big House, so, Harbaugh.

After the Off week we rattle off 3 more W's before heading to Happy Valley. We drop a heartbreaker to an underrated PSU - Hackenberg finally decides to play to his potential and Michigan is thinking too much about the next game and not focusing on the current one.

Harbaugh rallies the troops.

Down goes that team from Ohio.

Crown 'em B1G Champs. We're in because OSU loses to VT (Due to suspensions) and us, and MSU loses to OSU and us.

With one loss to a team not in the top 25 we're on the outside-looking-in to the playoff by .0002. We beat an SEC team by 10. (Alabama?)

14-1 Overall

Harbaugh is approached by presidential candidates on both sides as a potental running-mate. He declines, of course, and goes on to say he will not endorse anyone who lacks hustle.

We all cry - in joy,  about what could have been, and for what the future holds.

...only in the sense that people are forgetting they have a brand new OL. By the time we get to THE GAME they'll have it figured out up front--too much talent and coaching not to.

Utah: whoever gets to 20 points wins, and I think it's us, despite missing a FG or three.

All Ws until MSU, then Minny is a toss-up unless they're thinking big now and sputter, but I don't think that'll happen b/c Kill is one of the best coaches in football.

So, two toss-ups (Utah, Minn) and two pencils (MSU, OSU) yield 9-3. I believe we win both toss-ups, however, and might get OSU at the end.

So, 10-2.

8-4 in the regular season.  I figure they lose one nonconference game, one out of the two games vs. Minnesota and Penn State, one for sure of MSU and OSU, and if they pull an upset against MSU or OSU, they will suffer a DOH! upset at the hands of some other B1G team (just like they did every season that I have been alive, except for 1997).  Don't ask me to get specific; I think randomness means they will win a game they shouldn't and lose a game they shouldn't to get to the same place as where they would have been if football made any sense at all.

I think we're probably looking at a 7-5/8-4 year. They're going to win a couple they shouldn't, probably lose a couple they shouldn't. Really up-and-down as the new system takes hold.

I can also see an upset over MSU or OSU, but not both. More than likely, looking at 0-2 there.
