OT: ESPN now covering WWE
It's been a long time coming.
Former WWE announcer and backstage interviewer The Coach is the man covering WWE.

There are a lot of insecure dudes on MGB. More then I would have figured as this thread has said more than a few times "men half naked doing this or that". We played shirts and skins in basketball my whole life and no one was worried about being kissed. Grow up and get over it. Its like watching any other tv show. I enjoy many other shows and sports but WWE is no different than any other show.
Things the MGB users hate or are to good for.
1.NBA
2.WWE
3.Dolphins???

Wow a lot of bashing going on here. I am sure more reputable posters such as Mr. Stamos & WD could enlighten all of you to the Twitter backlash Dana White got a few weeks ago when he called wrestling "fake" in a tweet to a fan. He got a ton of heat for it and had to basically try to cover his own behind.
I do not think that we have to disrespect these men and women's proffesion. Yes it may be choreographed, a bit homo-erotic, cheesy at time, and too stereotypical for it's own good. But that shouldn't take away from the abuse that these performers take nor the skill & courage that it takes to do all of this in front of thousand of people and on live television. Honestly how many of us could go out in front of an arean full of people and deliver a promo? How many of us could get all of those to love or hate us without resorting what they call "cheap heat"(wearing an UM jersey in OH) or a "cheap pop"(wearing a Red wings jersey in MI)?
Wrestling like UM & Star Wars are things that I grew up loving and will defend them to the day I die so I apoligize if I come of as harsh or trolling

Star Wars are brilliant movies. Please don't compare them to wrestling which is essentially a male soap opera.
I say this as a former fan of the WWF.

The original Star Wars film are good, fun, movies. But I would hardly call them brillant. For starters, Mark Hamill is a horrible actor (good voice actor, though) and his wooden ass is on-screen every two minutes. Carrie Fisher is slightly better, and I think that's because she was more fun stoned. Harrison Ford is excellent, but I'd much rather watch Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Last Crusade than any Star Wars flick.

It's scripted drama.
The only thing real is the pain of the wrestlers. The rest is pure soap opera.
ESPN has lost their damn mind.

That ESPN2 covered this or someone took the time to video tape it.

Pro wrestling is not a sport. Then again, it's been a minute since ESPN was truly a sports network. So... I guess it fits.

I would say that this is a shame since they say they cover sports, but in reality, this way less egregious than what's being carried on regular news stations in lieu of actual news.

I mean they cover boxing, which is just as fixed and not even a quarter as entertaining as pro-wrestling. They cover fantasy football. Their regular daytime programming is dogshit anyway. Most of the time they post polls online and then discuss the results. Sometimes they let Skip Bayless and Steven A Smith talk. Now that's a crime against humanity.

When I was a kid, The Ultimate Warrior was my favorite. Now I don't watch. If you do, fine.
At what point does the NHL go away from the bottomline.
