@MichiganNation2 fake practice reports

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

We've already had one poster on here be fooled by thinking this info is legit. That was before he read into how ludicrous some of the "reports" were and then brought them to my attention.

@MichiganNation2 on twitter is someone who has been posting bogus practice reports.

I can tell that he is taking some premium content and mixing it in with his mound of garbage, because there was a thing or two that I've read over at Scout.

In one of his posts, he said he expects Michigan to have THREE running backs average over 5 yards per carry. Which is better than USC in 2005.....

But folks, here is the kicker. According to some on twitter replying to some of his tweets, Michigan didn't even practice today. Despite the fact that this guy is claiming he was there at practice today.........

Just putting this out here as awareness of the account, similar to what was done for Ace Williams or a U-M Diehards (before he cleaned up his act).

I use this nifty app called Podcast Republic on Android.

If you can find an alternative podcast app that's available on iTunes, once you download it, go to WTKA's podcast page on your phone's browser and hit 'subscribe'. It should open on your app and then you can listen through a third party app.

I can't believe anyone would think his stuff is legit. I can't read it anymore, my brain is starting to hurt.

Wow. People have way too much time in their hand to make up stuff. WD--No practice today. Are we sure? Why no practice? Is there a time limit issue?

I was going to ask the same thing. Even if they really did, I'd be surprised if that guy were allowed to attend. They wouldn't trust him to keep quiet just based on reading his twitter feed. I just looked at it after I asked WD my previous question anf he really wants atterntion (and he was the guy I asked about)

That isn't as rare as you think. We had teams in the '90s with backfields like that. I'd be surprised if it happened this year, though.

I was watching this play out on twitter. So do you know what I find worse than this guy's fake reports? 20 grown men bashing him on twitter for the past hour and then you coming here and creating a thread on it. Guess what? I would never have known about some random fake report had you and others not brought it up over and over to bully the guy. He needs to get a life. And so do the rest of you.

And you stole that USC stat from "Stallion Maverick" on twitter, but didn't cite him. Shame shame. Perhaps I should go bash you on twitter now.

Your response makes zero sense - its clear from his twitter page that Stallion Maverick and MGoJohnStamos are the same person. You really are quite immature. No wonder you get your kicks from engaging in excessive online bullying.

Isn't he the guy who tweeted he was going to get Detroit King coaches fired because he thought a tweet one of them sent out meant a comitment when it was actually about something else? I'm pretty sure he's the one and also badmouthed Upshur (tweeted directly to him nonetheless) for changing his commitment date and deciding to visit FSU. The guy has issues, to say the least.

three RBs to average over 5 ypc. Ok, that's called being dellusional and is an opinion, not a fake report. And, correct me if I mistook this, but you're saying that people on Twitter claim that there was no pratice, but the guy said he was at practice? So you're using tweets to refute other tweets?

Wooooooow.

Scorching hot takes here. I should hope you're not vying for a detective job at the local police department.

A question not really related to the main thread: what are your experiences with premium content? Is it worth it to sign up for 247 or rivals or something similar? If so, which do you guys recommend?

I did the year free with 247 a while ago. It was novel but not something I'd pay for. There were a lot of juicy rumors that would float around, but most stuff of substance seemed to make it to MGoBlog within 24 hours. I'm sure some love it, but I guess I don't see the need to pay

sounds like the internet equivalent of the drunk, unreasonable trailer park guy explaining on Cops why the other guy in the trailer is really drunk and being unreasonable

How do we know that YOUR not full of crap? Just putting it out there! We don't know who MichiganNation2 is but we sure as Hell don't know who you are either.  It's not like what the poster posts is unreasonable to believe! Personally I liked his twitter posting, gives a pretty good account of what I would expect.  YOU need to be more specific than just name calling "@MichiganNation2.... fake practice reports" ?

First off it's you're.  Don't CAPS for emphasis if you are going to make yourself look stupid.

Second, WD isn't the one making ridiculous claims about running back averages.  He also isn't reporting magical practices that didn't happen.  If he or anyone else was, they would be ridiculed as well.

Most of those Michigan twitter accounts are just garbage - basically steal a few pieces from the recruiting sites, a lot of retweeting random info, and making up a lot of crap.  The worst part is when they speculate on which players are going to transfer or decommit, etc.  Nice way to make the athletes and recruits feel welcome... /s
