Harbaugh Interviewed, Several Topics Discussed
Will just post the tweets of the beat reporters, lots of good nuggets here:
Harbaugh met today with beat writers. On Norfleet: "it's our desire he remain at Michigan." said there's a "plan" in place to get his degree

Harbaugh is still deciding about how to use helmet stickers (or if he'll use them). Doesn't expect any alternate uniforms this year.

As excited as I am about Peppers potentially playing two (or three) ways...I'm equally nervous about him getting injured again, which would be disastrous for our defense.

No doubt. As a fan, I will still have a little voice squeaking nervously at the back of my head every time he gets lit up on a kickoff return.
Unless, of course, he never gets lit up on a kickoff return because he is too busy spin-moving the shit out of hapless special teamers.
Seems appropriate.
like how Peppers was hurt last year while playing 1 position..... so just holding him to defense didn't prevent him from getting hurt.
I agree--if it happens, I'll say shit, be sad and move on--I would never fault a coach for doing that.
Everyone wants to utilize the best players as much as they can but they when someone gets hurt on special teams, it's 'why are they playing special teams'.
"It's the old catch-22
funkywolve, that's what people might say when someone gets hurt on special teams, and of course it seems dangerous, but I'd like to see some statistics on incidence of injuries per return to kick and punt returners compared to per play for defensive backs, compared to per carry for runners & per target for receivers.
To me it's a little like questioning why your best weapon would be used on key plays throughout a game, on 3rd down or 4th down, in the redzone, etc. The kicking game is far more important & determinative for outcomes than the average play from scrimmage will ever be. Not having an AC, a Desmond, a Woolfolk, an Alexander, etc. etc. return a kick is probably equivalent to sitting them out for several key plays from scrimmage.
Without kick returns neither Desmond nor Woodson has a Heisman. AC, Huckleby, Desmond & Woodson returned kicks when they were Heisman candidates, & when they were each the either the best & number one key players from scrimmage on their teams or close to it. So, for what it's worth, Bo, Mo, & Lo saw the importance of having your most dangerous returners out there regardless of their other value to the team.
I don't understand downplaying the value of great kick returning. Desmond and AC set records & won MVP's in playoff games and Super Bowls with returns. The difference between having a good or bad return game is monumental to a team. The diff between bad and great is monumentally monumental!
If you have a difference maker that can run back kicks you've got to use him at least when you need him at key times or when you're not playing a gimmie game. (Hopefully we'll get back to having gimmie games asap!)
unless you count that they are going with all white on the road this year. very hush hush though you didn't hear it from me.

I'd like to know where you have heard such information.
Well, certainly not from yzerman19.
What information?

Plus, this:
looks better than this (even though Harbaugh's the man):
No... That looks like West Virginia... I don't want to look like West Virginia...
No to the all white uniforms...no to the all maize (unless it's in a spring game versus the all blue uniforms).
addias emblems on the uniform.
and just get a solid Michigan team on the field like we used to and put them in the same old uniforms that they used to wear and leave it alone! This 8 years of death was caused by people wanting change. We didn't like winning at an 80% clip so we changed to the spread and started winning at a 40% clip, yeah!
The uniforms I like (all white) were worn in 73-75. Those teams went 28-3-3 and outscored their opponents 978 - 273.
Can we change back to that? Is that solid enough for you?
If you want your Wolverine brigade to wear all white but want the uni's to remain unique in college football than I hate to break it to you but it's going to have to be these...
if you're implying that the man wearing #7 is Harbaugh, but that's more then likely Rick Leach.
Maize is an accent color for football. It just doesn't work as a full jersey color.
Works in other sports. Not in football.
Those whites look pretty good. I wonder what pairings might look good if we went with blue pants - or would that be sacrilege?
I thought that the UTL throwback game should have had light brown pants old and faded.
The all maize doesn't make me think of Michigan. The helmet is kind of lost. At least it stands out with the white tops.
All maize vs. all blue...the Maize & Blue Spring Game.
I'd never want to see EITHER in a regular season or bowl game.
We unveil alternative away jersey's for the PSU game. They're also wearing all white. The only difference is the helmets. Hilarity ensues.
I'll turn into WD for a day if they actually do bring these back. I've been wanting to see them again for a long, long time.
We'll still find a way to nitpick about the proper shade of white.
I do love the simple look of the while jerseys. The helmet looks even sweeter with this combo.
I'm so glad Bo got rid of the gray face mask....it looked turible.
I'm sighing over the beautiful execution in the play in the top picture. Look at that blocking...
All white aways are fucking sweet.
Helmet stickers!! YAHHH!
How long will it be, before WD starts putting helmet stickers on his avatar logo?
Put one on for every game you've attended that MIchigan won, take one off for every game you've attended that Michigan lost. How many would that leave you with?
Let's see......
Starting going to games in the early 70's when my brother was in dental school. Went to all games between 78-81 when in school and then again from 1987 to 2013 when I had season tickets so I guess the exact number would be a shit-ton.
Or maybe a fuckload. Not sure exactly because I have to substract some bowl games we lost that I went to.
Idk but judging from his current one, I think he just turned 20...
