Bo Ryan to retire after 2015-2016 season
"Retire" or return to sleep until he's hungry again.
...hopefully he logs out and heads back to MLive.

This untoward comment, combined with your avatar, creates quite a combination. I suspect that many Lions fans uttered very similar words on Millen's exit from the front office.
(BTW, I never really "hated" Ryan. I just hated his style of basketball.)
I don't really like them.
I'm calling BS on this. I'll believe it when it actually happens, but until then I'm expecting him to troll the Badger sidelines for a few more years.
See the embed above.
Edit: reading comprehension fail on my part. Never mind.
...how is that far fetched?
By comparison, Beilein is 62 and we're all hoping we get 5 more years before he passes the torch to Jordan.
Right but being a vampire, 68 is like a toddler....
I hope we get 5 or 6 more years with Beilien and then replace him with Brad Stevens, whose NBA appetite might be full by then.
Let's go into Madison and give him a rare L on his homecourt. Gonna be a nice retirement gift.
Finally got tired of all the noise, noise, noise, noise from down in Whoville, I see.

But who will we have chanting the trusted old "Possessio Subtractorum" spell on the side of the court now? I admit that I will miss the speculation on what sort of sorcery specifically designed to turn any game into a 10-possession game for an opponent will come from his bench, what sort of hexes will be deployed to make sure all threes are contested, and the like.
Being a get off my lawn type, I like Bo Ryan. Esp now that he has morphed that offense into something a lot more fun than what Bennett and early Ryan were doing. And special kudos for those sincere comments about his dad after the final 4 run 2 years ago.

Tecmo Super Bowl's BO Jackson.
He needs time off to reposition the bodies buried in his backyard. I jest ... kind of.
I don't care what style his teams played with. He has probably had more success with less talent than any coach in basketball over the last 15 years. (Beilein might be a close 2nd). His record is truly amazing, and what he has done in the Big Ten is simply astonishing. Can't stand to lose to him, but have to give him an awful lot of credit.
Death to backboards.
