But who will we have chanting the trusted old "Possessio Subtractorum" spell on the side of the court now? I admit that I will miss the speculation on what sort of sorcery specifically designed to turn any game into a 10-possession game for an opponent will come from his bench, what sort of hexes will be deployed to make sure all threes are contested, and the like.

Being a get off my lawn type, I like Bo Ryan.   Esp now that he has morphed that offense into something a lot more fun than what Bennett and early Ryan were doing.   And special kudos for those sincere comments about his dad after the final 4 run 2 years ago.

on mobile, otherwise I would add: 1.bo doing the hambone 2.bo dancing "Soulja boy" two of my favorite Bo moments. Wisconsin will miss him. I personally will miss the way he owned Tom Izzo over the last several years. he drove my Spartan family nuts.

I don't care what style his teams played with.  He has probably had more success with less talent than any coach in basketball over the last 15 years.  (Beilein might be a close 2nd).  His record is truly amazing, and what he has done in the Big Ten is simply astonishing.  Can't stand to lose to him, but have to give him an awful lot of credit.

Pretty good coach was glad that Wisconsin beat UK in the Final 4 and ended there season 38-1. Yeah his style is a bit boring and put you to sleep and glad that he wasn't one and done players as well. I thought this past year was the best chance for the Badgers to win a National Title and I'll miss BO Ryan after 2016 season.

I hate his style of basketball, even though it picked up a little this past year. I hate Ben Brust, I hate that ginger kid who played for them a while back, I hate Josh Gasser, but it's hard for me to hate Bo Ryan. The man can flat out coach, and the Big Ten will take a big hit when he's gone.

I'm a little surprised that he's picking now to walk away. Following the two most successful seasons in Wisconsin basketball history and sending two players from that team to the NBA as top 20 picks, his stock as a coach almost couldn't be higher. I would think he'd like to take advantage of the recent success and exposure to capitalize on the recruiting trail and potentially put together another powerhouse that might be able to take that next step and get over the championship hump. That's easy to say from where I'm sitting though I guess.
