We will see " who he trust with his future" soon enough. I bet you a dollar that after he commits that there will be a school that claims it not because he trust the coaches he chose more. It won't be the school with all the rings either

It's even more obvious with each passing day that Harbaugh wants to beat MSU and OSU as badly as they want to beat Michigan.  That hasn't happened here since Bo.  The other coaches wanted to beat both teams badly, but it didn't burn inside them like it apparently does with Harbaugh.

come on! The best part is he left out guys like Percy Harvin at UF. The only thing that really matters is that in Smiths 6 years he's won a hell of a lot more ccg and ncgs than Fisch. This is like poking a bear and getting upset when he bites back.

It was sent in private, not social media.  We have been pretty terrible for a while now.  The staff is doing everything they can to recruit and make us better.  Responding on Twitter 3 separate times seems a bit ridiculous.  You just won the National Championship, you don't need to take to social media and show your chewed up nails to the whole world.

when that recruit was the one who forwarded the image to OSU coaches...

I hope UM keeps posting stuff like that, it will only serve to fire up the boys at OSU.  Hell I hope in 2016 you try to put a spike in the "O" in Ohio Stadium.  The outcome will be the same as it was in East Lansing.

I personally think it's funny. It's not even that bad... He has no NFL experience... It's a fact. He's put two players in the league this year.

His championship ring post cracked me up (note the 12-0 ring)

Nice job showing your insecuities in 3 tweets while at the same time tweeting about HATERZ like a 14 year old.

People who know how to handle success don't need to respond to others questioning their success. Especially if you're responding on twitter using emojis.

But this that's the kind of people that they have down there so...

"People who know how to handle success don't need to respond to others questioning their success."

Did you have the same view when Jay Harbaugh responded to Dantonio's comments about selling hope?

Cmon - let's avoid glass houses with sweeping comments like that.

The original flier is a bit aggressive. Not sure what we really had to gain from it besides making them go bat shit crazy. I bet the thread on 11w will reach 1000 posts.

Eh, I think the fault here lies with Fisch, the flyer didn't need to bring up a direct head to head comparison, just sell your qualifications and call it good the comparison will make itself.  I like most of what the staff is doing recruiting-wise, but this was a mis-fire.

insecure person puts out soooo much retort and blather in response.  I think I saw a Green Hornet decoder ring and a licked-off ring pop ring in Smith's pictures.  Maybe he could post his fourth grade perfect attendance certificate and his Pop Warner "participant" trophy.  Hilarious!

Do we even know if this is real?  Surely Fisch isn't stupid enough to personally attack somone like that...especially someone with the hardware to back it up. I counted 3 National Title rings in that picture.

Why stir the pot? Makes us look like Sparty.

Oh come on. I only get really obnoxious when people start making insane comments. Otherwise I'm pretty chill and fair. But anyone defending that flyer as a net positive for Michigan deserves to get prodded. That flyer is ridiculous. Half of it is inaccurate and the other half is extreme spin. Good job pumping up Shannon's credentials and omiting Meyer's. Of course, we know why. Protip: If you have to spin something to make it halfways presentable, it's probably going to be seen as ridiculous. If the intended recepient laughed and forwarded it to the guy the flyer was trying to mock, isn't that proof the flyer was a horrible backfire?

But thanks for the "watch yourself" comment, as MGoBlog policeman, I appreciate you keeping me in line. You get an unreasonable and unfair amount of shit on this website, but comments like that make me think you deserve some of it.

First of all, I've explicitly stated several times how I dislike and rarely participate on any 11W comment threads. That website's comment section is generally a clown show. And second, that flyer is not all true. It doesn't mention Philly Brown or Jake Stoneburner, both NFL WRs Smith coached. It goes out of its way to mention the SB rings some guy won somewhere as a player (Fisch can claim those as his own I guess because he worked under him 10 years later?) and omits the three NCs Urban won. It fails to provide any context to Fisch's history (like, you know, getting fired by the freaking Jaguars, or basically being an intern while coaching Brandon Marshall). It's clearly a desperate spin-job and a poor one at that.

Look, I'm all about Harbaugh taking shots at Urban. It's good for the rivalry and good for the fans. At least Harb's poetry subtweet made sense, was subtle and effective and wasn't pathetic. This flyer was a classic cheap shot, to a guy who was minding his own busness, and the worst part is, it failed. Smith flipped it on Fisch and made him look bad. If you're gonna take an unsolicited dig at a guy, at least win the damn Twitter war.

Besides, Judge Judy is an awful show that takes advantage of and makes fun of stupid and poor people. I'm sure Urban Meyer likes some dumbass stuff too, and if he broadcast it all over Twitter, I'd hope you'd make fun of it too.

and you seem reasonable about it. However most of what you just said sums up recruiting in a nutshell. Every school is pitching the good things about them, and omitting the negative things, and at the same time they will use whatever spin they can to convince a recruit that they should come to their school. Also, Fisch didn't post this to social media. It wasn't even sent to Ohio State as a dig on them. It was simply sent to a recruit. It isn't a "Twitter War," if only one side is contributing. For that reason alone, the "U mad, bro" comment is incredibly ironic.
