Adidas Confident Michigan Will Re-sign
...maybe he means burn non-Michigan Adidas gear.
Adidas Football Jerseys are Fugly.
The Special Uniformz are Fugly.
Adidas was responsible for the infamous Clowniformz.
The Adidas Unis have Odd looking Fits.
The Adidas Unis have Odd looking Small Numbers.
Adidas can not get Maize right.
Michigan Football has been Terrible during the Adidas Error.
It is time to End Adidas.
I would like to point out the Spartan uni.
Baylor? Don't forget the glorious Nike platinum basketball unis.
Another really embarrassing tidbit from that day was we warmed up in our normal road uniforms and then went back into the locker room to change into the infamous bumble bee garb. Did they think that would psyche MSU out or something? It's painful to think about how much fodder for mockery we provided in the Hoke/Brandon era. A true clownshow.
"The sentiment was to go back to the mustard -- for lack of a better term."
Non-fluorescent maize.

That quote is one of those that you'll hear from time to time and usually should not be interpreted because I am sure many of us have been to those meetings where someone said that on the record and of course the next day...well....
As someone said upthread, that they shopped around probably doesn't sit well with Adidas and it isn't the best endorsement you could hope for if you were them either. It would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall in this meeting though.
but I'm rooting for Fubu to win this bid.

How many more comments like this, "I hope we go with ___ (fill in any obscure, ridiculous, company that hasn't been popular since the early 90's)" until we reach the quota and no longer have to see them?
the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima to sell a few shirts.

As the grandson of a Marine who servied in the Pacific this is much more offensive than tacky designs. Give me Adidas any day.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/05/17/under-armour-yanks-band-ballers-t-shirt-after-social-media-firestorm/
Wow! People do work hard to be offended by pretty much anything. There is nothing disrespectful about that shirt design. I'd bet the Marines involved in the flag raisings would have loved it.
Boy, are you clueless.
Let's see, raising a flag on blood-drenched battlefield turned intro a collection of men raising a basketball hoop.
It's offensive to use imagery of war for reasons of profit and sports. I'd bet that those men would not appreciate their act of patriotism being used to sell a product.
What the hell is wrong with you?How do you not understand that this is offensive? Are you so ignorant of war that the solemnity of the moment escapes you?

Also if they put a clause in the contract that includes dollars based on sales increase then I can see us switching to Nike for less money. If not were staying w Adidas and the $10-12 Million they will offer. That's my take on things

Nike is great and all, but an extra 5-7 million a year does carry weight.

good.
Man, I need football in my life. The fact this constitutes interesting material about Michigan sports is just depressing.

The only think I can think of is some kind of profit sharing with Nike, where Michigan takes lower guaranteed money, but gets some sort of share of the profits. That limits Nike's downside and increases Michigan's upside (with Harbaugh and Beilein is a good assumption).
I have never heard of a school that sign a contract with an apparel that includes profit sharing. I sincerely doubt Nike will allow it

about Michigan being the "flagship" school. What a crock. If that were truly the case, they wouldn't have shoved their corporate designs and slogans down our throats, making M look like every other school in their stable. They took liberties with the maize color, used the same font on our gear as used on sportwear at all their schools, and made the basketball team wear inane company sloganed t-shirts, just to name three.
No matter what happens with the supplier, I hope Hackett puts an end to that.
