NCAA Tournament - Trimming Down The Elite Eight (Open Thread)
Two teams will make an exit tonight, but for now, you've got:
Wisconsin / Arizona - going right now on TBS. 10-2 Wisconsin with 16:09 to go in the 1st.
Later on:
Notre Dame / Kentucky - that could be intriguing
10-4 and Wisconsin just turned it over. Come on, Arizona. Be almost the first game that goes the way I want this tourney.

#16 RIT just beat #1 overall Minnesota State. Probably one of the biggest upsets in tournament history
Semi-weighted Plinko!
Why wasn't Arizona a #1 seed again?
I still chuckle at the look on the faces of Wisconsin players when a foul gets called on them. They tend to throw their hands up and glare as if to say, "That was NOT part of the arrangement, man!" Of course, that may simply be a jaded, slightly paranoid me, but the idea that they genuinely do not understand why this is happening is amusing all the same.
The good ole Bo Ryan chest bump doesn't fly outside of the B10 I guess.
But after watching the Mich Class A Final, I sure hope Beilein is recruiting Brian Bowen, a 6'7" 2017 kid from Sag Arthur Hill, I believe he is still growing, he has a really nice game and is considered the best soph in Mich.
Daym Frank the Tank is on fire.

That was the worst attempt ever to get a foul call after a pump fake. Kaminsky literally had to jump 3 feet forward to even get into the defender's body. How can you bitch after that doesn't get called?
Badgers are running away with it

Am a bit surprised Wiscy can keep up with Arizona's athleticism. Crying for fouls aside, this Wiscy team really is very good.
this game seemed like that clip from Key and Peele about ancestry.com

I don't hate them but it does certainly seem like they have team loaded with crew-cut super tall upperclassmen every single year. They are so consistent with it that it's easy to dislike.
kindred spirits? Try literal animal cousins. Badger is a smaller Wolverine with stripes essentially haha.
They're not a strong historical rival, and now in football we'll only play them 3/7ths of the time once the 9 game conference seasons kick in. And, at least in my experience, "that avid Wisconsin fan at work" is a rare breed.
They stole a couple of games from us recently with buzzer-beating threes, but we made the Big Dance anyway in 2011 and won the B1G outright by 3 games in 2013, so they weren't that consequential.
Go non-rival B1G!
As long as it's not OSU or MSU I'm more than happy to see another Big Ten team cut down the nets at the end of the year.

When your choices are: Kentucky, MSU, Louisville, or Duke, then yeah, I'll go with Wisconsin.
If Gonzaga makes it, I'll go with them.
Jesus... Gasser...
Hopefully our freshman crop of guys stick around as long as Dekker and Gasser do for Wisky... Michigan will dominate...
(Obviously being selfish. If they are good enough to leave for the NBA, then by all means they should)
that Decker was a class A trash talker? I didn't know he had that rep, but Reggie Miller said he has a new favorite player.
Dekker constantly picks up his dribble. AZ just fouls him.
Holy shit, Dekker took so many steps he looked like Secretariat.

Dekker = Death.

Dekker holy crap! What a ridiculous shot. He had to take it, but damn.
Sam Dekker is almost on Nik Stauskas level of swag right now hitting these insane shots.
